Re: High Volume Oil Line (HVOL) question.

Bryant... Weren't there detailed installation instructions with your purchase?.... Instructions will outline placement of the hogshead pickup bracket... Be sure to use the 3/8 diameter steel line with the neck style connectors to help save oil burning in number one cylinder.

What is wrong with the original improved oil line Ford supplied?
The HVOL is a back-up insurance for the original oil line just in case it gets blocked with band lining fuzz thru the years and worse, blockage from oil crud .

I also purchased stainless steel exhaust pipe and it's stainless steel welded muffler years ago and like Jim mentioned they're still shiny and still performing well with a mellow sound all their own.

Greg... The rubber that's on the truck is original from the factory? Through the years, age, sunlight, drastic temperatures, and plain old atmosphere will tend to shrink rubber. Compared to what the vendor has, the new rubber is only 1/8 of an inch short on each side.... And after all these years, I...

Re: I am putting a starter on my 1916 coupelet.

Save yourself some time and trouble... Go purchase a original Ford manufactured starter engine with a three dip pan, add the associated electrical doodads to run the engine. Save the original engine for the future sale.... may reimburse you for what you spent on your modification.

Freshly rebuilt engines need some time to wear in. .... at least 1000 miles ....Why don't you change your oil, re-torque the head, check for tightness on the manifold bolts and carburetor bolts. Since you're still experimenting, why don't you clean up those plugs and regap them to 25 thousands..... ...
