A few of our group on the Jamboree a couple years ago crossed the bridge, just to say that they did. I don't remember why I didn't do it. Nobody reported any problems.

I'll add, that if not for Don's presence here, my life would be very different. 12 years ago he posted the progress of his Fordor restoration. Re: Do I really need a carb shut off valve?

On our 27 Fordor, I was able to fasten a metal rod onto the handle at the stock sediment bulb. It is sandwiched between the splash apron on the wood body sill, and bent at a 90 degree angle. It would not be noticeable if I painted it black. It makes it much easier to shut off the fuel when the car i...

The back of the front seat on our 27 Fordor was moved rearward a couple inches, and the padding thinned, during restoration. It's still not real handy to enter and exit the driver's door. I use the passenger door almost all of the time.

Re: Old Car Festival, Dearborn - pictures?

Jeff, I had a nice talk with your Dad. I didn't think you were there. Sorry I missed you. I plan to see Uncle Charlie soon. Our son bought a house not far from him.

What a great day! I rode in the B and the K, and drove Rusty's V8 Oldsmobile touring. This event seems to get better every year!

Holy Cow, You're having a great trip! Thank you for taking us along on your journey. We're camped in Frankenmuth Michigan for the night. They're hosting the Autofest this weekend, and the town is filled with all kinds of cool cars. A lot of hot rods and muscle cars. We got here later than planned, b...

Wishing you safe travels, Steve and Dave! I'm really looking forward to meeting up with our Old Car Friends in September. We're planning to leave Grayling on the Thursday before the OCF. Trailering the Fordor behind the RV from Grayling to the Saginaw area. Camping overnight somewhere, and seeing pa...

After you confirm that all the parts are in good condition, add a small amount of toe-in. A good way to accurately measure the toe, is to raise each wheel. Then spin the wheel as fast as you can by hand, and scribe a line on the tread. I use a jack stand close to the tire, and a soap stone or sharp ...

Registered. I'll see you all there, car or no car. Following Steve's lead, here are the three pictures I submitted.
Dad got the split cedar rails from a farmer in Michigan's thumb in 1960, the same year he bought the Fordor. He was told they were 100 years old when he got them.

Re: HUBCAP FIT on WIRE WHEELS

With the wheel off, bend 4 or 5 tabs. Then use a rubber o-ring around the hubcap from the visible side. They won't rattle. The wheels on our Fordor are black, and the o-rings are almost invisible.

Re: Complete, all original 1926 Fordor restoration project on eBay.

Never Been Worked On? It's obviously been painted, and had the top replaced, as well as the visor material. The engine pans are missing, and it looks like an aluminum cylinder head. I mean no disrespect, but a T that has never been worked on is just not possible. Even the famous Rip Van Winkle car h...

Do we know how many of the 500 Model B Ford cars are still in existence, and how many are operable? Count me in as one of the people who are really looking forward to seeing this one in person at the 2022 OCF!
