As Kerry mentioned. Do not use any oil with graphite. The graphite will short out the magneto, and it is almost impossible to ever remove all traces of it.

Thanks for the info. It looks very promising. Will be 2025 for us. Looks like We will need 3 spaces. I'll have the same kind of stuff we took to Chickasha. Hope to see some old friends and also some new ones.

Can someone post lots of photos of the parts and some good photos of the layout of the swap meet. We can not go this year. But we may want to bring a good size load to the swap meet in 2025. Also is there camping or room for a RV.

Re: I texted a friend asking "How was Chickasha today?"....
I would love to see a bigger swap meet at homecoming. But a one day swap meet is not feasible for most vendors. 2 day minimum and 2-1/2 days is better. The 1/2 day allows for enough setup time to not wear a vendor out.

I would just braze the hole shut. Then rough grind, then final shape with a die grinder. Make sure to leave the gasket surface a little "proud" to allow for a final shaping, smooth out with a file. I do not think it is a "how long" type of thing as much as how many times to "hit it" with the voltage. Sold pending payment, Smith Model A air compressor
I have a Gordon Smith Model A air compressor conversion for sale. It is a Smith "factory unit" and not a kit. It has the "Smith compressing head" that allows the engine to run on 2 cylinders and compress air with the other 2. If you have any model T painted style gas tanks made in the 70s to late 90...

Yes, they are 23 inch, or 30 x 3-1/2 clincher. Thanks for catching the omission. I'll change the ad and add the info.

Sold pending payment, Complete set of Buffalo Disc Wheels
I have a set of Buffalo Disc Wheels for sale. I was going to use these on my speedster project I did a couple years ago. I have a set of Disteel wheels on the car at this time and they have been the wheels I have always had and I like them. So, I probably will never get around to mounting these, Buf...

The part the spokes go into is the felloe. Demountable rims bolt to a steel felloe. On early non demountable wheels the spokes go into a wood felloe that is riveted to the rim.

for sale early DB front axle (sold pending payment)
I have a DB (dodge brothers) front axle for sale. It is an extra I've had for several years and have no need for anymore. I have installed new Steven's style bushing/inserts in the axle. They were installed with an original Stevens axle bushing tool. The axle will need to be cleaned up. I just glass...

Re: Choosing a Body Style for CA DMV?
In Arkansas it is pretty easy to get titles. But I did register a 1908 Reliable Dayton highwheeler with a serial number 12. It is the only one we had trouble with. The computers would not recognize the 2 didget number. It would just freeze up and not go any further. The main office in Little Rock ha...

Re: For Sale Narrow Scandinavia bands
If they are short, they have "relaxed over time". If you crank them thru a sheet metal slip roll it will lengthen them back to original length. I start with the rollers about 3/16 apart and tighten them a little after each pass thru the rollers till they are the length you want. It will also "firm t...

John, We try to break up the video into different perspectives as much as we can. We also are trying to be as interesting as we can for people that are not just us old Model T dinosaurs. We have a pretty good following of younger folks with families. You are correct about the extra work. This 24 min...

Steve. The lift eyes are one of those elusive tools I also looked for, for years. When the single lift eye came up for sale I quickly bought it. I figured 1/2 of a set is better than nothing. One of these days I'll find the other one.

These originals are way better than the repros. The photos are very clear in the originals and pretty grainy in the better repros. In some of the repros the pictures are almost impossible to see, let alone the little details. I use my repro for reading while working on the car. If I need to really l...

Thanks Mark. I was hoping it was of the era. It was one of those deals that was so low priced there was no way to pass it up. I may need some help trying to get the correct plate or film holders if I want to actually try to use it.

Hi Mark. Was hoping you would chime in. I'm mostly wanting to know if the camera is period correct for landscapes and camping type photos. John. Yes . You need the drape over your head to see the image on the glass pane in the rear of the camera. You watch the image as you focus the camera by extending or shortening the bellows length. The image on the glass will be backwards and upside down. I'm no expert by no means but that is how I...

I have acquired a new camera. Im wondering if it is period correct for my late teens to 1930s era camping equipment. It is a Korona, wood box bellows type camera. Im pretty sure it is dry plate 5x7. The rear focusing glass is 5x7. It sits on a Korona tripod. The lens is an auto timer type. The pipe ...

Thanks for all the comments. We also drive down the hill in same gear we would go uphill with. I used low Warford/high Ford for the down hill. Same gear on most of the uphill. The corners of the switchbacks and one slightly steeper stretch of road was where we used low Warford/low Ford going up. Joh...

Took a day trip in the T. Went to Natural Bridge of Arkansas
Finally got around to taking another trip with the T. We went to Natural Bridge of Arkansas. It is an old tourist destination just north of Clinton Arkansas. It has been a scenic stop in The Ozark Mountains since the early 1900s. The road to the bridge is a steep, winding, crooked, switchback laden ...
