What I have done is get visited a motorcycle site and used the material that they suggested. I don't remember what it was called. The tricky part is getting the tank to turn in all directions. One suggestion was to tie it to a Model T wheel with the rearend on jack stands. Start the T and let it tur...

Sorry, It's for a '26 speedster. I have access to all the head bolts. I have not run it thru any heat cycles. Sounds like I am in a good place to replace the head bolts. Campbell,
I would bet the lower one is for the rod that is the brace from the firewall to the radiator.
The top hole is the one that the pivot rod goes thru for the hood.
Let me know if you have questions. I will try and snap a shot from my '14.

We have an Igloo cooler that is the perfect size for the running board.

It seems to have split on a seam that might be able to fill.

Re: Late '26 Touring upholstery
Sorry for all the questions. I don't see myself going back in to this again for a loooooong time. I am planning on building a brace for the center front. My questions is where do the corners go. Up high and tight? Down a little?. In front of the tack rail? Here are a couple of pictures. Let me know ...

Re: Late '26 Touring upholstery
Dan,
In your picture there seems to be a brace or a spacer going up the center.
My car seems to be missing that spacer or brace.
Now I am wondering if I need to put that brace/spacer.
Since the car has been painted, make it out of a wood.
Let me know what you think.

Tonight I was trying to place figure out the spring placement before I starting to cover them up. The rear spring seem to fit right in. My question is the front seat springs. Do they need to be bent to match the sheet metal? Or should I put some support behind the spring to keep them from collapsing...

We have three T's in the garage. These two belong to my wife.
Both were her fathers. I get to do the work and drive them.
Here she is with the touring after a paint job. Here is the speedster. The jewel of the collection.

The rear cushion is done. I am hoping the sun can do a little magic on it. My question is what gauge staple should I use for the seat backs? I tried to using my hand staplers. Or should I wait until I am read to do the back rest?
I started the tacking.
Is this tack distance too close?

The beast that I am feeding is a speedster with a touring Frontenac head.
I put the fuel regular in line and did another test.
2 gallons took 23 minutes.
It seems a little faster, definitely not a accurate science experiment.
Now to try to run it and see how far I can go.

I found my old thread on fuel flow. In a nut shell. 1 minute to fill 3/4 of a pint. I removed everything except the fuel pump. I just filled a 2.5 gallon gas can. It took 35 minutes. 2.5 gallons * 4 = 10 quarts 10 quarts / .75 = 13.3 (3/4 quarts) 35 minutes / 13.3 quarts = 2.6 minutes to fill 3/4 qu...
