The radiator cap should never shoot 4' in the air. It is a non pressurized system and there is an open overflow pipe preventing this. Besides, the cap is threaded into place. Is your overflow pipe kinked, plugged or do you have an aftermarket hot rod radiator?

As for Canadian, I restored a 26 Fordor from what I believe to have been an original car. The visible screws on trim, dash, windshield hardware, etc. were all oval head nickel plated Robertson wood screws and machine screws. Other screws were all Robertson flat head screws, not painted unless the as...

Not built from parts by me, but by my Uncle LaVar. He restored several Model T's over the years. The last one started with a 25 running gear he put together, then intended to put together a runabout. Be sure to anneal the tabs (heat to red then air cool) after bending strait and prior to bending over again. Just one cycle of straitening then bending over without annealing may be enough to cause it to break off. I learned this the hard way!

The mag post oiler works well and I'd easy to install. You must check it to assure it flows well. In the past some of these had a problem with the fitting going in too far and obstructing flow. The high flow oil line requires the transmission cover to be removed so you can drill out the hole and att...

No one has mentioned the fuel supply issue. A 20% grade is too much for any of the cars with tank under the seat. Except, it will keep running on the fuel in the carburetor bowl for a bit. If you don't dilly dally on the way in going forward you can make it. Pause on the way up or take too much time...

One of the greatest hurdles to overcome will be to jam the low peddle to the floor in an "emergency." If you cannot get that foot up, turn...
