fat man steering wheel with horn button

I bought a fat man steering wheel with a horn button in center similar to model A horn button. Can't get it to make contact (close the circuit on two wires coming out of it). No brand found. Any one have experience or knowledge of one like this. Will attempt to post picture later.

Re: New guy here

Hi Dave, Welcome to the Model T world. It's great fun and as you have seen many good folks will join in to give you help. The Kansas City Chuggers is the local Model T club and we affiliate with the MTFCA and the MTFCI. We of course are not meeting because of the virus, but you can visit our website...

There is some thought that he may have sold it.

Gary Hylton's Ames

I am sure I read a post that someone had talked to or knew a person who bought an Ames from someone in MI who's father had owned the car. This bought about all the ames discussions that are still avaiable. A picture or two of Gary's ames was also posted. If anyone has information about the car, Gary...

Re: foot throttle

Thanks to everyone for the input! The pictures help a lot. I'm sure we will be able t o build one that works the way I want. There is a kit on ebay that looks a lot like the Speedway Motor one. Painted black (instead of chrome) I may be able to use it. However, the "peg" that has the Model A rubber ...

Re: foot throttle

Thanks for the info so far. Will be anxious to see what Ruxstel 24 has. The model A "peg" is a good idea - it sure helps on the A. I hope I can retain the had throttle as well. It's almost like a "cruise control" I use it a lot on our A as well.

foot throttle

WTB any foot throttle parts. Missed that really nice foot pad yesterday. Have no parts at this time so anything considered. New Langs does not list and I understand what the had in past was on back order.

foot throttle

Having added a KC Warford, my friends say I will be able to shift better with a foot throttle. I've read the older discussions and guess I'll have to make one as the new 2019 Lang's catalog no longer lists the kit. On a post in May, 2018 Dan Hatch indicated he might have some left over parts. I've a...

Re: Which 12 volt battery is the best for a Ford Model T

If you have a generator or alternator, just use the least expensive one that will fit. If not, a deep cycle would seem the best, but I'd use a marine deep cycle that is about the size of the old group 1 batteries.
