AC Brakes thick washer location?

I am installing set of new production AC Brakes on small drum rear axle. Kit came with a special think washer. I can't figure out where that washer goes. Any help out there? Seems I remember it was spacer to keep the casting from breaking on rear backing plates other than very early axles. I don't h...

Re: WTB Car Cover

Go to auto parts store and purchase an SUV cover if you wanna save a lot of money. It will not "fit like a glove" but it will provide cover. I use a Ford Excursion cover for my Firetruck.

Re: Starter Switch Problem

Some of my cars don't have electric starters but the ones that do I add a 6 volt solenoid. New or old I only use the foot switch to provide the low amp voltage to the solenoid, Mount the solenoid inside the frame and it is not particularly visible and only you will know as everything will operate as...

Agree with Hank. That is what I use. But as a old Fire Fighter we tend to find lots of uses for old fire hose.

Re: Steering wheel spider

Jim--- Thanks for your response. It inspired me to get up and go to the shop and see what was going on. And you are correct They are straight and the reason this one didn't fit was it just needed a serious cleaning to get it on. And I learned my assumption Model T steering wheels would only do on in...

Steering wheel spider

I have a steering wheel spider that has a riveted hub and certainly look like a Model T spider. I would be for a pretty small steering wheel. Different than other spiders I have this one doesn't seem to have a tapered shaft. The shaft hole is same size on either side. Did some model Ts have strait s...

Re: What have you done to your T in August

I admire each of you that has done anything with your T in August. In South Texas it has just been too HOT to do anything. So I have done virtually nothing. When/if Fall ever get here I will need to catch up. I say if because some years it seems like we skip Fall all together.

Re: The dirt funnel

When working around an engine with plug or plugs out I like to screw 1/2 inch pipe nipple(s) in the plug hole. Mine are 4 inches long. Otherwise anything you drop that will fit will find a way to go right down the funnel hole.

MTFCA Google search possible with new forum?

One of the things I have enjoyed with the old forum is the ability to do a "MTFCA Google" search for a subject and find old posts that already answer my question. Anyone know if that Google search will find responses in the current new forum?
