Kalamity Dick often said “the Road to success is paved with good inventions.” The institute’s Gyrokastroxiter has just been tuned up and is on display in the North wing for the foreseeable future. It has not been successfully frying eggs, but does nearly all the acreage chores and knits a nice kilt....

The "French Front" is particularly exotic and gives the appearance of being from overseas. I like the embossed "International" in the front of the hood. I always think about how those were made. This, from "Metal Work" in the for the restorer series shows the details.

Kalamity Dick developed equipment that not only aspirated books but polished spittoons. Of course, this was in later years.

In the first photo, it's not the same boys or car, but the same expression and pose. Probably similar excitement when being photographed in an Automobile back then.

I might add that Swinella added greatly to the recording with her fine playing of the base wheel. Egbert allowed her to do that occasionally.

A fellow we know used to drive to and from National VMCCA tours from New Mexico in his late 20's Studebaker. He always ran a bit of diesel in the gas tank. It ran well but had more soot on the rear of the car.

The White bus next to it is a Model 15-45 like the one I have. Venturing to the park from Ogden, UT would have certainly been an adventure. The i...
