I installed a sight glass in the oil line from the mag fitting on my 26 Coupe. You would be surprised by how much oil flows through that goofy right angle fitting.

Re: Ammeter issue
If you can live with a 30-0-30 here is a link to one with a D'Arsonval analog movement. I would be tempted to put a 20-0-20 face plate in it and just know that if it shows 10 it is actually 15 amps and so on.

Westach is a reputable company and I have used their products in the past without issue. I have a small stash of good original ammeters, so I don’t need to buy one of these. If I was, I would call their tec support and ask them about the unit and find out what kind of movement they are using before ...

Re: Brakes - Rocky Mountain versus original rear drum brakes
I think auxiliary brakes are a good idea. That being said I was driving my 14 Touring, with Kevlar linings and no auxiliary brakes, and had a girl pull out in front of me without looking to see if there was oncoming traffic. To my surprise I discovered that if you push hard enough on the brake pedal...

Re: Ignition key - Yale Lock
I have a car with one of those locking switch's. I was lucky to get it with the key. I took it to a locksmith to see if I could get a copy made. The locksmith just smiled and got the correct blank off his pegboard display and cut it. The moral of this story is that the key blanks are available and p...

I have a set of hinged bands that was made by Raybestos. They are well made. I have them in my 26 Coupe that I drive about 1000+ miles per year. They have been in the car at least 10 years. No problems with them and I haven't had to change the band linings yet.
