Pushed the T out into the hot sun, stretched the vinyl top, and tacked into place. Then screwed the two drip rails which I made from stainless steel with stainless Philips drive screws (which I will hide in the near future). My top kit came with what I believe to be Hidem welting. That's actual panel board, not cardboard.
We plan on coating the inside with something more water resistant.

Radiator 053218459b.jpg For closure on this topic, I have worked on several radiators over the years and most leak after the first attempt of a repair. This is nothing new when you watch the pros sweat the radiator up as they merely test and sweat it up again. Some I test for leaks and fix, others ...

Got to painting the black parts.
It's a 100 footer.
I looked for steel replacement fenders and never found any. So, we patched up what we had.

Yes John, Saw quite a few videos of workers running metal strips with teeth down a core. That did not take long at all, just a torch and then shake off the little brass guys off. Collecting more solder to maybe reuse, it's expensive but I got a fresh new roll just for this project. The brass plate w...

Replaced the Dodge fan with a new Model T fan.

Obviously, there are two rows, saw that before I cut it. Only removing the bottom tank to do all the work and leaving the top tank on untouched. There are flat tubes but does not say "Ford" anywhere on it. Maybe someone may want to try to identify what this really is (besides scrap).

1926 (October) coupe.
The high hood matches the high shell almost perfectly.
Yes Mark,
I saw that spacers would indeed leave a gap between the shelf and the hood.
John,
I could dimple up 3/4" on the lower tank but it looks too restrictive for coolant flow.

After double checking the radiator shell and convinced that it's OK and taking measurements of the radiator and sure that it's too tall, it's time to cut. Re: Radiator and Shell
I'm told the radiator is not original. The core should be 18-3/8" but measures 18-7/8"...or 1/2" too tall. The gap between the the two brackets is 1 inch. So, the top tank may be too tall OR the brackets on the radiator are set too low. These things can be fixed with a re-core or modifying the tank ...

I mocked up the radiator and there is 3/8" clearance. Totally don't know the speck. Rotated the fan by crankshaft and nothing hits. I could purchase the fan to make it correct but not sure if a stock fan will stick out more than this one.
