I learned about this from my dad many years ago. In '62 I had a brand new Ford Fairlane 500. Our neighbor's dog would come over every day and pee on one or two of my hubcaps. Up near the radiator was a clear path to the ground underneath where we stuck a section of 1/4" copper tubing three or four i...

On you tube is a video about a T Model tour in Australia titled "T Model Movie 2017". The whole video is well worth watching but if you scroll over to 15:00 minutes you'll find my favorite T Model song of all time. I think the title is "Gonna Buy Me A Model T Ford". Give a listen, it's a great song.

First for me was the 1933 Plymouth Sports Coupe. With it's chrome headlights and horns on the front, wire wheels and two side-mount spare tires just a great looking car. The idea that you can't push a TT truck because of the worm drive is a myth. My '22 TT has the lower-geared rear axle (7 1/4:1) and a Muncie auxillary transmission. In the second picture the man with no hands car has some kind of starting device in front of the radiator. I wonder if it could be an inertia starter as was widely used on aircraft engines. I've often wondered why they weren't used more on auto engines before the days of electric starters.

Re: TT truck axel keys
Hi, Lester. I checked a TT axle I have on hand and I see that you will need 5/16" square keystock about 3 1/2" long for your truck. Your local hardware store may have it. I see that Amazon has it in 12" lengths for about eight dollars. You can just saw it to the length you need, dress up the ends an...

Come on guys. Everybody knows that a T Model needs a water pump. I haul mine around in the tool box. Makes a dandy wheel chock when I park on an incline.

The worm doesn't make it hard to push. My 22 TT has an auxiliary transmission. With that in neutral I can push it with one hand.

Re: Intake Manifold Leak
I install manifolds the way Scott described with the two outer clamps set vertically with nuts run down finger tight. This holds the exhaust manifold in place while you install the intake, no cut-off clamps or other special tools required. The exhaust manifold on my '26 is slightly warped so I could...

Speedster or fishing car. Who cares? I'd take it. I think that one of the few things more fun that driving a T Model might be driving a piece of one.

Re: Aligning the door on a 1926 coupe
Hi, Jim. Due to the fact that the passenger door has been opened about 5000 times to the driver's door once maybe you have worn hinges and pins. With the door open a few inches lift up the back of it and check how much wiggle is in those hinges. It could be that you need to make new pins or maybe ev...

If that chunk fell into the transmission you have to get it out of there. Probably best to get another hogshead.

The Stutz claimed, "There's nothing worser than driving a Mercer".
The Mercer bunch, "You'd have to be nuts to drive a Stutz".
Just a little harmless banter that probably led to a few fistfights.

John, the girl in your barn is prettier and she ain't packing a pistol. There's nothing funny about a woman with a gun. For me it would be a Jaguar XK-150 S. I owned one for a few years back on the sunny slopes of long ago. That car was pure fun and with the right exhaust system Jags make the ...
