WTB - CAR COVER - Good morning to all, and hope that you can give me information or you may have one for sale. Mine for my 1925 Roadster, lost a battle with a windstorm and the only Upholsterer here is gone, so I am in big trouble. The Upholsterer patched it last year after a similar mishap, so it c...

Re: An old member could use our prayers

My thoughts and prayers got out to your Friend, and I think he will make it. The reason being is that a Friend of mine from long ago, recently had the Flu, Pneumonia, and Covid all at the same time. He has survived, and is mobile as we speak. God is Good.

Until a few years ago, I had two POULAN? chain saws, gave them away to a friend, still kicking my butt.  I ran upon these years ago up in the Rockies, at the time one could find stuff like this that some poor Logger had for sale when he had ran out of work. We used "Tow" sacks all the time for seat covers, cushions, and etc. all the time. Tow sacks were in plentiful supply, they were everywhere underfoot, and free. We stuffed them with Spanish Moss, free, corn shucks, free, and sometimes just a big hand full of sacks. The farm implements we used all had ...

You have truly found a Gold Mine for the watch collector/repair trade. I was a Member of the NAWCC (National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors) for many years. I had to give it up because of age and disabilities, eyesight, arthritis and so forth. When I was a Member, membership consisted of ...

On the subject of V Radiators, it brought to mind those that were being used in the deserts on some of the larger trucks that we used in the Oil Field back in my working days. These were installed on the big trucks that were in use, KW's, Macks, et al. They were of a similar configuration, if I reme...

FWIW, long ago in days of working 24/7 and Company Cars, I would sometimes be in some of the hotter parts of the United States, I found out about the Swamp Fans. They worked reasonably well in the dryer parts of the States, West Texas, Kansas, New Mexico, etc., but really cooled only if it was dry. ...

Re: This was trucking-Old Photos

The posting by Mr. Iffrig of 15 May brings to mind one I saw in Cody, Wyoming in the '80's. The oilfield was in one of it's Boom and Bust cycles, and activity was at it's peak, wells were being drilled where they had never thought of drilling before. Anyhow, while standing in front of the old Cody H...

Both of my Grand Daddy's were old time Country Blacksmiths, we never did have electricity, so they flame welded, and it worked as good or better than an electric machine. I think everything on both places were made out of old T parts, both used T axles to make Spurs, they swore by the steel in them....
