We run one on our 12 torpedo. Runs much like a 5 ball carb does but I think it starts better than the 5 ball does. There are a couple of variations of the six ball carb I have seen over the years. One has a bolt on the top of the body like an 11 Holley does.

Be very careful what you buy as a torpedo roadster one in their correct form demand top dollars. I probably looks at 15 to 20 of them in the 80s before I settled on a complete correct restoration project. I looked at a lot of very nice copy cat cars during that period. Take someone who knows them wi...

I mix a quart at a time. I thin it just a tiny bit so it soaks into the open grain of the wood nicely so the high build primer doesn’t soak in as much. It is compatible with the primer so that is the way I do it.

Let completely dry scuff and spray with a high build urethane primer sand and paint. I have painted dozens of set of new wood wheels in the past 25 years many still look a...

Tom Butterworth who is a poster here used to live in Michigan is the builder of what I would consider one of the best speedster bodies around. He now is in Florida. Try contacting him here for speedster advice. I have two of his and couldn’t be happier.
