Re: Tony Wiltshire - RIP

When I first met Tony, I found him to be a rather gruff and hard-shelled Brit. To put it politely, he was unwavering from his opinion and confident in his knowledge. But I also knew he had a heart of gold and was one thousand percent committed to making the Model T Museum the absolute best it possib...

VF-56-1: More on "What My Model T Taught Me!"

The Gallery Section of the Model T Forum has a wealth of technical drawings in the "VowellArt" folder that are worth checking out. Here is an exploded view of the Model T Sidelight with more information on the various components of the early and late Sidelight Assembly, including part numbers. Rick ...

VF-56-1: More on 1921 TT Chemical Fire Truck

History: On March 18, 1921, the Mount Bethel Volunteer Fire Company of Warren Township, Somerset County, New Jersey paid $598 for a TT Ford Truck. The volunteers made a body for the truck from donated wood. The iron fittings and rails were made and bought from a local blacksmith. The truck was pain...

Steve - You have my number, feel free to share your thoughts on the postal system. I haven't gotten my mailed copies yet either. ;) The bad news is once the postal services receive the magazines, they are truly out of our control. International mail is even slower. The good news is towards the end o...

Re: Matching Grant for the MTFCA ends on Tue Nov 10, 2020

Dropped my check in the mail on November 5th. Would absolutely love it, if part or all of it went toward building the Model T Explorer Youth Club or other youth programs. Sparking the youngins' interest is not only fun, but ensures there will be new owners for these old cars. After consulting and wo...

Re: Any plans for Vintage Ford online &/or on CD for after 2000?

We will be adding a digital version of the Vintage Ford magazine to all MTFCA memberships. This will not replace the printed copy, but will be available in addition to it. During the past few years, timely postal service between the U.S. and other countries has been decreasing and taking far too lon...

Vintage Ford 55-5 Sep-Oct 2020 Correction

On page 11, the top photo incorrectly dates the cars as coming from a 1919 catalog. That is impossible, as two of those models were discontinued by that time! Those are all early 1917 models. Thanks to "Original Smith" for catching this typo. The 1917 Ford Sales catalog was published in 1916 and fe...

Love the wavy reflections around the script Ford at the top of the radiator and how the headlamp reflected in the side of the brass radiator has sharper focus than the actual lamp.
