Re: Do you have model t yard art pictures to share

Years ago I had a old Oliver tractor that needed some work so I parked it in the corner of the front yard so it was not far from the tool box. The neighbors complained it was a eyesore. I told them as soon as I found the parts it would go back into the pasture. Years later when I was unable to find ...

If the turbo 400 hubs are not being made anymore. This may be a solution ( I picked this up some time ago) IMG_2960.jpg IMG_2961.jpg It is a 400 hub machined & welded into a T hub. I have had good luck with cutting the teeth out of stock 400 discs but it is time consuming. I have had a Jackrabbit in...

Hi Douglas,
This is one I picked up a few years ago, it's a little simpler design but should work the same. I would bet it was a fast repair for a otherwise
time consuming repair.

Having worked with very large metal panels for a good amount of time. Heat is your best friend. If when the panel that is secured is warmer than the frame or support it is installed on that when it cools it will be taunt & smooth. Oil canning is a issue that will take up tons of time to correct. Jus...

Hi Iu'dai, I did not put the park brake outside the the body but did move the the Ruckstell shifter out side the body. I mounted the shifter on the radius rod & drive shaft tube so the shifter moves with the driveline outside independent of & under the body. I installed the shift lever up so the shi...

The best way to check connections is to do a voltage drop test. This is not a voltage @ a given spot test. A voltage drop test will tell you where the issue is not just that you have one. While a load is applied use a voltmeter to check along the circuits as in from the battery terminal to the batte...

Two Spares is a result of past experience. I have had two flats more than once on a trip. I loaned my tandem trailer to the XW & HIL once & it
came back with three new tires on it. I don't run trailer tires more than five years regardless of tread depth, tires are cheaper then body work.

Re: Starting crank extension? Options?

Hi Robert,
Joe is on to something but 1" off the handle is a rather large loss of leverage. maybe just put a 15 degree bend @ the engine end & 15 degree
bend @ the handle end that will move the handle out about a inch & only shorten the throw about a quarter of a inch.

It also looks like it has more oil capacity in the dips. That is a great idea & it would help remove any small bits that will not come out even with
jacking up the front end. Having one drain instead of three or four would be convenient also.
