Re: Why stop at 12 languages?
... What I learned in German has on occasion helped me to read Dutch! My wife and I spoke mostly Dutch with each other during the forty years of our marriage, and our daughter ended up speaking it very well for someone who learned it in a suburb of St. Louis. My grandparents (married in 1908, died in 1960) owned six cars in their lives, a 1915 Dodge, a 1928 Dodge, a 1936 Dodge, a 1941 Dodge, a 1950 Dodge and a 1956 Chrysler. I think it's safe to say they would approve your buying the Dodge.

Many years ago, Stan Howe posted an item on this forum on stewardship. At that time, I only knew Stan from having seen his forum posts. Where in the area are you? I'm in Ballwin and we had heavy rain but no flooding near me. I did see that the area of Rock Hill where the Trainwreck is flooded again, but that's par for the course.

More seriously, the St. Louis club has had an annual Overnight Tour since 1992. (They have all been planned and organized by our tour chairman, Sam Atkinson, and he has been on every one up to this year, when a last-minute positive Covid test sidelined him. Very frustrating.) I am no expert but have...

When I first got into the Model T hobby, I read or heard somewhere, "Driving a Model T is most fun you can have with clothes on." That seems to have summed it up.

I had a discussion something like this recently. I think it's kind of a case that "Dog bites Man" doesn't make the papers because it isn't news. I think that our evolution to 24-hour-a-day, 7-days-a-week news has created an impression that something is going horribly wrong all the time. That doesn't...

The link that didn't work for me is double-underlined on my screen and the more recent one (which does work) is single-underlined. Don't know why they're like that, but that is clearly the reason.
