Small correction to some lines that were in the wrong place and or not completed. 1919-1923FirewallAssembly-EngineSide2.jpg I haven't gotten round to the metal Firewalls yet, concentrating on all the wood ones first (and there are a bunch of those). Ok, made some changes, you're right the Firewall brackets should be on the engine side and not on the interior side. Re: Original material to back interior cloth?
The ones I've seen looked to be some sort of heavy cardboard. Although a modern plasticized cardboard, might work better especially against moisture, because the ones I've seen (with the cardboard) were rather warped, probably due to either outright water damage or moisture trapped with in the door...

1912-HolleyH1-4550-3Screw-2.jpg Since the 4550 was made between the years of 1911 and 1912, it seems obvious that the 1912 version had to be a "New and Improved" carburetor...in that Holley went from the "2 screw" cover to a "3 screw" cover much like the later Holley G's. Small change....it was brought to my attention that 4550 was built between the years of 1911-1912.
This was probably the 1911 version, the 1912 version would then be the 3 screw cover.

Go to any Joann's Sewing Center, they have webbing in just about any width, that's where I went and got my webbing for by front top bow hook straps and rear curtain straps for my early 22 touring. They also carry the snaps and the tools to affix them with too.
