I have a late 1911. ( Nov ). It has a Rands windshield. The bolts are Brass plated with square heads. I'm not sure that a Rands windshield even had screws with slots.

Hi John, Delaware is a friendly Model T State. You say that you are moving to Milton DE. Call Georgetown Division of Motor Vehicles. Ask for a permit to drive your Model T to the inspection lane. Take with you the car Title and Insurance card. They will inspect the car and charge you a one year regi...

Re: Should I use white tires, or black?

Hi Allan, I have no idea how many miles that I have put on my car. The longest day I have driven on a tour in one day is 240 miles. The average day is 100-125 miles. I have a Stewart speedometer, but don't engage it. We do quite a few Model t Tours and we do a lot of driving on back roads around our...

Re: Should I use white tires, or black?

Petes Car Wash 11 copy.jpg Hi Steve, To be completely authentic, the white tires should have no tread on them. That makes them very dangerous to drive. I will say that they look nice. As you know, I show and drive my 1911 Touring. I have always used black tires. I prefer the Black Universal straigh...

Hi Larry, I had the same question about my 1911 Touring. The Motor number is different than the number on my dash. Royce Peterson sent me a copy of the original invoice for my car. He found the invoice at Benson Ford Archives. The dash # is 85087 and the motor # is 84473. The car has a Beaudette body...

Has anyone used Evans Coolant in their Model T? What are the plus's and minis's using it. I used it for years. It never boiled. My Machinist told me that it is making my engine run too hot. Gentlemen, When I change a tire, I use a plastic bag on the wheel. I always work from the back of the wheel. I start by putting the tube in the tire with a liner and enough air in the tube to give it shape. I push the valve stem through the wheel and hold it with the valve stem holder that screws on...
