Sam, if you have an alternator, you can expect more amps than Ford ever thought of your battery voltage should rise to about 14.3 volts and then the Amps will slow down sounds nornal so far, but I don't know if a T ammeter can handle it. Daver in Bellingham

"No smoking stop your engine" was a common sight in in Washington State, in my younger days, like 40's into the 70's

I am with the 660 Locktite guys. Probably work good with a knurl,or a shim. I've used it a lot, with never a problem.

A few years back, I bougtht an aluminum radiaror from Speedway think it cost $130 at that time, had to move everything around to make it fit, I thouht I was about done at that time, then I checked the rear axle... Still haven't tried it. Dave In Bellinham, WA

Looks like it's for Free Rotor valves, these used to be fairly common on industrial engines, takes two c- shaped keepers, and an inverted cup over the end of the valve only example I can think of is Fordson Major, but there's way more.. Dave in Bellingham, Wa

Is gear lash of timing gears .006? Might not be a little much? 300 and 240 Ford sixes with metal gears are sometimes pretty noisy, mostly at idle, last forever anyway, had several.. Dave in Bellingham, WA

I have used "Strawberry fit" lots of times with not as many punch marks as above, worked for me, Locktite 660 completes the repair, if you can get it. Dave in Bellingham

Neighbor gave me a Model T when I was about six years old. My old man was not too pleased. It sat there, and disappeared over a long period, mom's uncle got the coils, finally a junk man took the heavy iron, and the body stayed around untill I was through high school.
