I'm confused on the photo of the 1927 pickup! The pickup box on this car appears to be an early 1926, With the forward stake pocket all the way up. Larry, you may be confused about the '27, frankly I'm nauseated at that ugly monstrosity abortion of what Tesla ( I think that's the maker) thinks is a...

The original New Day timers were dark brown. The bodies were made of Bakelite. If you rub a spot fairly hard on one for about five seconds to get it warm you'll notice a sort of petroleum aroma to it. 20240412_164420 (2).jpg Thanks Charley! Now I know. Nice pic but sad to see an abandoned car dealership like that. Wonder what year it was...looks depressing nonetheless.

Back when my repop switch was giving me fits on my '26 Fordor I could turn the switch with just a thin shaft screwdriver! I cleaned up the original and am using it again. Have to see if Ben Martin is back at rebuilding 'em again.

As always fantastic pics! On the top pic, little bit-a fun comes to mind like this: All those couples are in that same store. Time to get going. Guys say, get in the car and lets get going! Uhhhh.....which car?!? They all look identical!! And they sure were all spiffed up!

further, at least on this item, there is no evidence anything was ever soldered to the flange - so, is the screen meant to be pressed in, or perhaps a screen is/was not a universal feature of all sediment units ? It's been years since I worked on one. But looking at your picture of the cap it seems...

Well if you're talking about the more expensive, period correct valve that only Langs sells, they say the maker isn't doing them. May even be passed away I don't know. Only options are to take it apart and "lap it" with that yellow stuff...I forget the name of it...or buy one of those repop cheapie ...

This type of photos is not uncommon for the early automobile era. I thought I would post this one to show just how popular the automobile craze was. Yes I did attend that Jamboree. It was great as was the scenery. I especially enjoyed the travel along the lakeshore having been an avid boater for over 50 years as well as a licensed captain.

Does anyone still offer these so called 3 in 1 copper gasket rings? I know they used to be from Australia at one time? Seems vendors here don't handle them?

That’s a good idea! That’s better than tying up the joint with a piece of string that I used! I set a jack stand under the driveshaft tube prior to pulling the engine so it's pretty much lined up for the re-install..then I help hold the U-joint in place for the final "slip in" with a simple coat ha...

Interesting sad story Tim. That had to be horrific for those in the wagon being consumed by the fire. My county and other areas around are called "The Firelands" for a similar reason altho our fires were from being burned out by the British. Half a million acres were given to "sufferers" in this are...

The first picture tells a Model T story! I’m wondering if they bought the T new and then used it down to the very end on the farm. That’s a very early brass era T that didn’t last to long. Maybe they bought it that way for a good deal and it lasted a while longer on the farm. I like both potential ...

Did you buy it? If so, congrats. Surprised at that asking price it took this long. Be curious if not just plain nosey if it went for asking price. Mainly cause I been doing my own little research on how prices are going and it seems they're dropping. Especially on brass cars.
