From the looks of it I suspect you just stick one probe on one terminal and the other one on the other terminal. Then read the meter. Looks like it has a bit of adjustability for various sizes of batteries. No doubt the squiggly things will produce quite a bit of heat so I'd be keeping my fingers cle...

Re: First car
The Mother-In-Law Runabout and '09 Touring both appear to be right-hand drive. A reversed negative maybe? I see now that the oil petcocks are showing. If the negatives were reversed, they would not appear in their "normal" location. RHD they are! Nice M.I.L. car ain't it? Look at that shine! Bet a ...

Looks like an iron starter hogshead. So if you're good at welding cast iron, yes.

Re: Top boot on ‘24 Touring
Something doesn't sound right. On my '13 it has 2 straps on the top..left & right, and on the bottom panel in the middle is the 3rd strap which feeds up and over the backrest down to the snaps under the seat. I'd call Mike and ask him if he made a mistake sewing on the straps. The middle strap under...

These are 1/4” round X 1” long. Would that be in the ballpark? F1067FF2-0857-4B81-AF87-A826FBE5DF46.jpeg What Rich said above. Plus, "our" supplier first of all used to make 'em for Tony. They got the right specs. Gotta have the chamfer on the end, and the little hole drilled into it too for the "i...

Re: Better get that fixed.
number one photo is of a 1911 open roadster. It has E&J lights and the engine is an open valve one, making it an early production., probably in 1910. The floor boards are out, so one wonders what thay plan to do or fix. And that poor car looks like it was beat to s--t!!! Man so many of these cars i...

Tim: seems that a cylindrical brush should be simple to make ... i don't know if the proper graphite materials are easily acquired , but the cost seems very high for what i would expect ... machining graphite is messy , but when done wet is very doable ... the only graphite materials i use are too ...

There is a nicely restored correct 1912 in the classifieds for $24,500 a bargain. There is also a 1912 wanna be for $14,000. Another bargain. You could not restore either of these cars for their asking prices. Keith At this point in time, the '12 that Lang's has for $24.5K is indeed the best bet ha...

Re: Good selling price for a 1911?
Hemmings has a 1911 Touring for sale listed at $25K. Original open valve engine, body and interior look nicely refinished. Its difficult to tell from the pics but it may have a newer rear end in it. HCCA has a nice 11(red....) listed at $50K. I have been tracking 11s for a while and I keep seeing 1...

Hi all, If I have a running, very original (original body, wheels, upholstery, top and mostly original engine) 1911 touring. I really only got it running, got a complete lamp set and fresh paint. What would be a fair selling price? Just want to get a feeling for some project ideas. As was noted, pi...

Again I agree with Jim as to the quality of Meguiars. I have though since switched to Wizards, they have a fantastic polish called "Shine Master" and also a detailer spray called "Mist N Shine" which really works well and holds up great. Smells like bubble gum! They also have various "strength...

Re: Polishing up spray painted T?
As Jim mentioned above, the key to a "decent rattle can paint job" is absolutely appliance epoxy! Far better than the "standard" rattle can paints you see all over the place. Read the can carefully! When you're staring at a row of 500 of em it's often overwhelming if not confusing. But this epoxy is...

Taking orders for ROUND TW brush again
Yep...going to make one more stab at a run of ROUND brushes for the TW timer. Need minimum of 12 to do it so plan ahead for your needs. I have 3 committed already...so at least need 9 more. They quoted $29.71 each plus I'm guessing around $6 will get em to you in the usual padded envelope. If I can ...

A new TW round brush run
Okay got the price from the brush maker...went up as expected...$29.71 each for min of 12, $23.25 if I can somehow get 18 committed. Plus usual shipping and the $2 padded envelope so add around $6 as a guess, depending on quantity ordered. I'll put the order in about March 15 so PM or email me thru ...

Not an outrageous asking price, when I bought one, it was the spider for $225 then the wheel rim for I believe it was another $160 altho indeed the spider was a genuine Dodge Brothers, stamped on the underside of hub, likely this is a repop but like Ed said, regardless they're hard to find. If you r...
