Trailers do take a lot of room for storage. Add in driving over the grass, changing hitches and wring each time you sell or buy a vehicle, and routine maintenance and, insurance and you might do better renting from U Haul for the couple of times each year that you need it.

Re: Your thoughts please.

Bud How about a portable impact wrench? They come with either an 18 volt lithium battery or a a fuel cell. Seems like it would be an easy conversion to add a Model A drive nut and start the car using the portable impact wrench. Also would maintain the originality of the car. I sold my SEARS because ...

Re: Inflation !!!

A new T cost less than $400 and a nice driver Ford today is $45000 plus. average wage was $2.50 per day unless you were lucky and had one of those high paying Ford jobs at $5 per day. Don't know what the daily pay rate is today, but it is certainly higher.

Very Impressive. How many man hours involved in the total job? I am always in awe of the time study minutes to do a job in the Ford Mechanics handbook.

Yes the skylight studio is still there, but relocated. When they repaired the village a few years ago, adding paved streets, it was relocated intact. The Old Car Festival is worth the trip to Detroit all by itself. Piquette Plant is a great choice for your last day in town. Great to hear that you ar...

Try and take a tour of the Elanor Ford Mansion on the Eastside. That was Edsel's estate. Lots to see and do in Motown. DIA is worth a stop, along with Belle Isle. Did you take the Rouge Tour? Like old cars and huge mechanical music? Visit Stahls in Chesterfield Twp. Crusin in is Thursday evening, Jo...

Lots to see and do. Take the Rouge Tour and see trucks manufactured. Be certain the plant is running, so you might want a Friday tour if you are available. Visit Piquette Ford plant in downtown Detroit, about a 1/2 hr drive from the museum. Have to enjoy a hamburger at the Ford Grill around the corn...

Re: Wooden spoked wheel overhaul

I removed the old spokes and shipped the components to Mr. Stutzman for sandblast and prime the metal parts and then respoke the wheels. Shipped him all the parts and new bolts for mounting the hubs to the spokes, then visited his ship in Ohio to pick them up. Well worth the trip and a fascinating s...

Who is Mark you ask? Mark is my good friend and T Club member, Mark Finley. I was going to put his name and phone number on the press release and see how many newspapers called him for statement... then I though the better of it. Mark is the organizer of this month's meeting at the Strohs Brewhouse....

Disney World had a great steam train tour. Took several hours in the morning and the guide told you the history, maintenance and operation of the steam trains. You have to ask as it is not widely known.
