Trailers do take a lot of room for storage. Add in driving over the grass, changing hitches and wring each time you sell or buy a vehicle, and routine maintenance and, insurance and you might do better renting from U Haul for the couple of times each year that you need it.

Purchase the more expensive hub bolts. Most of the dealers carry two lines of hub bolts. Purchase the grade 5 or better...more expensive but SAFE.
Include them when you deliver the wheels to Mr. Stutzman and he will install them, but not peen them over so you can disassemble for finish if desired.

Re: The Old Fashioned Way
I am a 72 year young engineer. Only thing I can add to Bob's message that I agree with is that i do not hunt and peck with one finger. I took typing in High School. Probably one of the best classes I ever took resulting in a conservative 40wpm typing PLUS I was the only boy in a class full of beauti...

Lyndon I had my wheels done by Mr. Stutzman. First class and beautiful workmanship. Broke the wheels down and removed the spokes and wood felloe. Shipped the hubs ad rims to Mr. Stutzman and he called when they were ready for pickup. Drove down and picked them up. The walk through tour of his shop w...

Re: 5 Millionth Model T Now at Model T Museum!
The five millionth T was restored by Sterling Heights Mich car collector Richard Duncan. It was in the Ford Collection at the Jerome Duncan Dealership for many years. My recollection is that it came from the Burroughs home, as in Burroughs office equipment. Dick always had a car under restoration in...

Bud How about a portable impact wrench? They come with either an 18 volt lithium battery or a a fuel cell. Seems like it would be an easy conversion to add a Model A drive nut and start the car using the portable impact wrench. Also would maintain the originality of the car. I sold my SEARS because ...

A new T cost less than $400 and a nice driver Ford today is $45000 plus. average wage was $2.50 per day unless you were lucky and had one of those high paying Ford jobs at $5 per day. Don't know what the daily pay rate is today, but it is certainly higher.

Very Impressive. How many man hours involved in the total job? I am always in awe of the time study minutes to do a job in the Ford Mechanics handbook.

Yes the skylight studio is still there, but relocated. When they repaired the village a few years ago, adding paved streets, it was relocated intact. The Old Car Festival is worth the trip to Detroit all by itself. Piquette Plant is a great choice for your last day in town. Great to hear that you ar...

Lots to see and do. Take the Rouge Tour and see trucks manufactured. Be certain the plant is running, so you might want a Friday tour if you are available. Visit Piquette Ford plant in downtown Detroit, about a 1/2 hr drive from the museum. Have to enjoy a hamburger at the Ford Grill around the corn...
