So recently I found a Bocsh magneto as well as a magneto front plate for a model t on ebay. They were seperate posts but in doing research on the mount I found that the mount was oringally sold with the type NU4 magneto so I decided it was smart to purchase both. Myself, I would just put it together and let the brakes do the work where they want. Powder coat is tough but with use I still think it will come off fairly quick on the contact areas. If not needed I wouldn't want to mess up finished wheels and if you don't like the way the brakes work after a few...

I've wondered the same thing. Used both examples on same car. Never any difference in performance. Hopefully one of the guru's will chime in.
