Re: Working the show.

Rich- the one running the mill reminds me of Old Car Festival this year. We put a Centennial (one of the ones built in 2003) on a "Henry's Helper"- a device ran off the back wheels of a T as a sort of "PTO" to power something- in our case I think it was a corn sheller or some other sort of grain mil...

Steve just called me and asked if I had your number. Unfortunately, I do not.

If anyone has Dallas' number, please PM it to me so I can get it to Steve. He's trying to get lines of communication.

He sounds good, and was in good spirits when I talked to him. :)

Re: Old Car Festival Update

It's not totally nearby (within 30 miles, I'd say), but Detroit Greenfield campground in Ypsilanti seems to be a popular choice with my out of town friends who've stayed there. It's down I-94 from Dearborn. This is such awesome news- I missed all my T buddies last year. Steve- if you choose to stay ...

Dayton may actually still have it. I have a set of Rudge/Whitworths from a Rickenbacker and they said they could help with those.

Contact them directly and see. :)

Good luck!

Re: What have you done with your T in May

Tried putting some 2X4's away in the garage rafters I'd found under a boat I sold... slipped off the radius rod on my son's Model A drag rail and cut my heel pretty good on the T rear axle next to it. That's about all the T-ing I've done for awhile. ;) Hopefully, we can start putting Mildred (his Mo...

1904 Ford race car "Baby"- any info?

Rob Heyen, I'm looking at you, bud. ;) I'm looking for information on the 1904 race car known as "Baby". It appears to be a twin Model A/AC/C engined car, rated at 20 HP. I've found a few pictures, but nothing wrote up yet. Anyone have info? Thanks in advance! jk TwinEngineA.jpeg twinengineAedit.jpe...

999- what does this say?

I was going through online pictures THF has for 999 and came across this.

Anyone know what it says? Link is to my post on the EFR asking the same question.

Seems odd that there is a "Since 1903" on a car built in 1902. ;)

Thanks!

Re: Anyone Attend the Auction In Stanwood Michigan Saturday?

When I was at Ferris State in the mid-90s, a classmate had a place outside Stanwood. It was his grandfather's hunting property, and had a primitive cabin (no electricity or running water). But, more importantly, it was logged off in the early 20th century, and there was a PILE (like, probably 50 or ...

Mark's response is exactly what I meant when I made mine. Thanks for the wonderful explanation of why you did it.

Question though- the adapter plate- does the thickness affect the compression ratio? I've always wondered how that worked raising the head up that amount.

TIA,
