Re: Anybody remember J.C. Whitney?
There was only one page devoted to Model T in this 1969 catalog. (There were 11 for Model A.)

Re: old car legality
In Pennsylvania, the antique license plate exempts the car from annual inspection. And if the vehicle is only operated during daylight, the car only needs to have its original lighting equipment. If it is to be operated at dark, the lighting need to be upgraded.

Re: What is your favorite part of a Model T Ford?
As a youngster I used to love riding in the back seat looking out over the side, looking on the ground and seeing the shadow of the wood spoked wheels spinning. I still do, but I need to be careful to not look too long as I now do the driving.

Re: Non-tarnishing bright brass
As George says above, you may be referring to a process called PVD, physical vapor deposition. It is the process that is used for lifetime brass finishes on faucets, door handles, etc. I see no reason it might not be used for car parts. No idea what the cost for one off parts may be. Maybe you want ...

Re: Model T Capabilities on Hills?
I just read over this post, and I may have missed this. But I will ask anyway. You say it almost makes it to the top, but not quite. Did I miss this- Is it stalling in high gear or low gear? I know your driveway is steep, but I am having troubles seeing a properly running T stalling on the hill in l...

Re: Post the earliest picture of you and your T
This is my Model T. I did not quite make the photo. It was taken October 1954, four months before I was born. Car looks basically the same today.

Re: Final dumb Magneto question for the weekend
Marshall, I have read lots of people with different methods of recharging the magnets. And many of them have posted that their various methods have been successful. So it might not really be that critical just how you do it. However, over the years I have gathered great respect for John Regan and hi...

Re: What oil do you use for your Model T?
ZDDP was also not around in Model T days. It was developed in the 1940's. And by most authorities, it is really only needed in high performance engines, which I would not think the Model T qualifies.

I would tend to agree that only "good, conventional" advice be given. Problem is WHO gets to determine what is "good, conventional" advice? Me?

My father got our 1925 Touring in 1952. It has been mine since 1986. About the only thing that you see different in the photo since 1952 are the tires and the top.

Re: It's time to STOP RESTORING, and START PRESERVING the remaining good original cars that are left...
I find this topic interesting. I am not a fan of top end restorations for many reasons. My thoughts are probably more relevant to newer cars, like 50’s and 60’s as there are more of those in much better shape than Model T’s, but I will give it a go anyway. My thoughts below were originally for that ...
