Bill and I were friends, a few years ago we were E-mailing jokes back and forth on a regular bases. I restored some parts for his early vintage autos and in trade I received 3 of his crankshafts. One is in our 14, one is in my son Derek's 25 and the last one Andy Loso was in the process of putting i...

Yes, those are the markings. Each year was a little different. Take them with you or the picture when you stop at the Snap-On truck and he will show you the years they were made.

Re: Snap-on T

A lot of Snap-On tools have a little marking symbol on them to determine the year they were made. The Snap-On truck has the chart in it to compare markings for the year of your tool. I don’t know what year they started or when if they quit doing it.

I use the heavy brass mirrors made by Vintique on both sides. I had to grind the clamps to fit the 14 windshield frame and used inner tube rubber on the windshield frame to absorb the vibration. I really like them.

Thanks Dean, I feel better now because I have been using 20-50 and wasn't sure if it was to thick. Reading up on oil posts a guy can get confused. You put enough miles on a T to know what should work. I suspect you tried a lot of different weights of oil over the years to find what worked best?

A drunk driving ticket (DWI) will keep you from getting into Canada. My nephew found that out the hard way. He was going there on a fishing trip with a bunch of guys. He had to stay at the border for a week while they had a good time.

It's spring in Minnesota now because yesterday I saw my first Mosquito. I had just gotten done spraying the last coat of clear on a Dodge truck hood and there it sat, right in the middle of the hood. Monday I will have to sand and buff it out. I guess there is a bright side to -30 degrees below zero.

I would just drive it the way it is. Stay off the salted roads in the winter and it won't get any worse. I have seen things people cleared over and years latter the clear started peeling. That makes a big ugly mess and very hard to fix without doing an unwanted restoration.
