King pins (or spindle bolts), are the same size for all years. Sort of? The '09 thru '14 spindle bolts were a slightly larger diameter, 0.502" to 0.504" and that dimension continued until 1920 when the dimension was changed to 0.500" to 0.504". The original spindle bolts for my 1920 were/are the la...

Here's me in my 1929 Dodge Brothers DA. PICT0100.JPG PICT0110.JPG Yes, later and a 6 cylinder, but the pre-Fast Four in the '23 is a very reliable and underrated engine. Looks like the Keystone 1X Ford Service Set to me. Fourteen expansion reamers and 2 solid reamers (mains and camshaft), it has a different layout for the box from the one shown in the catalog, looks like maybe the lid was put on 180 degrees off. Re: Spindle bolt size
Original Ford Spindle Bolts were 0.502" - 0.503" in diameter, larger than some of the new bolts sold today by the vendors. I know that Langs sells both the 0.500" diameter Spindle Bolts and the "correct" larger diameter bolts, big price difference. A quote from R.V. Anderson, " Ford specified the di...

I use Gasoila on fuel line fittings (they also make a version for ethanol blended fuels) and spray copper coat (for head gaskets) on the spark plug threads.

3-Z-1956 Spindle Arm Bushing Driver.
I was able recently to pick up a good example of this bushing driver. It looks as though it saw very little use at all, the Z is a little faint but readable, still has it's black oxide finish and it looks as though the head was never dressed. IMG_7085.JPG IMG_7086.JPG IMG_7088.JPG The driver came in...

It sounds as though you are using the gasket shown below (see arrow). If you have the gland rings and the gaskets, that is all that is needed. It does not matter which way the "lip" is facing.

Oil can holder from Ebay.
This was from an auction about a month ago, and it sold for $175. What did I miss or what am I not seeing or aware of to command this price? It started at $49.99. Makes me think I should sell the nice cast one that I have.

Well, I'm going to stick my neck out here. I think that tap IS for the kit. I also think the 9/16-24 is an ad man's typo. Scott, I agree with you, I think that this is the tap for that set and that it is just a BIG typo that went overlooked by a lot of people. I also believe that how you describe i...

Stevens tap ID?
While cleaning out a few things this afternoon I came across this tap. It is marked STEVENS NEW YORK and is before the change/addition of the Walden Worcester to the logo. It is marked 1/2 14 and it measures out as such, 1/2-14. The only thing that I could think of or come across is the tap for the ...

Ditto here - need the dimensions for my Cantrell-Miller ! The death wobble is not uncommon in a used T. Shackles may need replacing, and may fix it, but more likely you need to check everything in the front end and make sure all is up to snuff . The list includes king pins and bushes, shackles and bushes, tie rod end pins and bushes, tie rod ball and pitm...

I think the "dark-side" would actually be Andalusite Blue. That is Lombard Blue, a bit brighter than the Andalusite. Is the pinstripe the same Tacoma Cream as the wheels or the Hessian Blue?

Is the impeller as designed, or has it been repaired? This is the first time I've seen this impeller, so I don't know if it has ever been repaired. I pulled it because it was leaking badly, running or not. It appears to have been broken and brazed back together. Also, seems to have an oversized bol...

You might try looking at elevator bolts. They are pretty close to what you are looking for, but they seem to vary by the manufacturer, the head profile differs a bit (from manufacturer to manufacturer). I needed some when attaching a Kari-Keen trunk to my Model A.

I believe that the "Actual Cash Value" that is shown in the listing is just an auction estimate or what they "think" it should bring. The actual "Sale Status" of the vehicle is listed as being "On Minimum Bid", whatever that would be once the auction actually starts. Jerry said it well, with the lac...
