And now newer owners are trying to up grade the car even further with air conditioning, disk brakes, electronic ignition, high tech voltage...

Cap screw heads that is. The trouble with cleaning parts hour after hour is that my mind wanders to the land of Oz, Kalamity Dick and questions about how the parts were made and when. Many of the Ford bolts in this batch appear to be from one car and have a round depression in the middle of the head. I have other original Ford bolts without that...

This is not my favorite task. I have beaten these out with a long chisel and hammer in the past to remove the ball bearing style, but thought I'd ask for suggestions now. Maybe a little heat on the race or the hub might help? Thanks.

I picked this tool up a few years back and I'm not sure how to use it. I think it's for spreading open a tire. Does anyone have pictures of how it was used? Says Firestone on it.

I am needing a rear TT 23 wood spoked demountable wheel (33x5.00 tires) or the spokes and at least one balloon split rim. Will need to be able to ship to me in Texas.

Today I picked up my engine after a transmission rebuild. As proof of life the rebuilder set it up on a Dyno and ran it for me, first with a Holley NH, then with my Holley G. I have a NH at home in a box that I've never gotten around to installing on the engine. Based upon the results, I think I will now :D

I plan to drive my 1912 T in our 4th parade---it has 30X3.5 clinchers but I`m concerned about possible flattires.....Just wondering if I could replace a flat with a wheel and tire from my 1924 T. I`d prefer to fix any flat back home in my shop if I can temporairly use the `24 T wheel.....Would that fit? Thanks, paul

A friend says his Model T never had a Hot Air Pipe, Part Number 4582, so he knows it must not need one.

My opinion is that Henry Ford would never put that part on, if it was not required.

There are usually three different opinions about every part of a Model T, am I wrong on the pipe requirement?

I am working on solving a rough running issue, which means a lot of test drives around the block. This involves backing out of the shop, which is not going well. My technique is to start with the hand brake on then press the reverse pedal down and let the handbrake off. Oddly, the car will go backward when the handbrake is about halfway off, but...

Here is a set of aftermarket Ball Bearing Thrust bearings. They maybe NOS no sure. There 2 of the ball bearings plate and 7 of the race plates. Thanks to the forum I found that Tom VanMeeteren is able to supply cap, rotor and points for my AK type RA distributor. The cam gear that came with the unit has no slot or locating hole to position it correctly. The distributor sits slanted. I have attached a couple of pictures of the unit. Just took the inspection cover off the bottom of a new to me Roadster. We suspected the motor was rebuilt and never ran. Stuck bore scope into head and no evidence it was started just shiny .20 over pistons. UPDATE

I finally found some at Target - $1.29 per gallon.
I use it primarily to mix 50/50 with antifreeze for the T
I also picked up another shortage item - Siracha.
Due to a bad crop of chili peppers this year, it is in short supply.
Most retailers are out of it.
Target is becoming my new go-to over Walmart.

In a previous post a few years ago when discussing this cars tendency to dance/veer left or right when driving over a road repair or similar surface someone suggested that my front end could be in the wrong way around.
I was thinking that if that was the case would the bearing threads be a give away given that they are left hand thread on one...

i have been digging thru my stored parts ... i have 2 more sets of re-babbitted Model T connecting rods and a few individual rods for sale ... rods are X grooved and drilled for oil dippers and an oil exhaust hole drilled in the rod webb ...1 set of 1.225 diameter , these are .025 undersize and could easily be lapped to fit a minus .020 re-ground...

Any recommendations on any here in Los Angeles area....or......??

I was contacted by a lady that lives in Elkhart IN that is looking for someone to give her dad a ride in a Model T for his 100th birthday. I would gladly do it except my car is being restored right now (Not running). Perhaps there is some guys local in the area that could do this? He walks with a walker but can get up and down.
