I have some questions on my 1925 Model T Coupe.

We ordered new tires and took them to someone here locally who restores vintage cars to have them mounted on the split rims. Went to put them on last night, the first one went on perfectly. No issues at all. All 3 of the others were a nightmare to get on. It seems the rims with the tires mounted...

Has anyone ever tried to reduce engine vibrations transmitting to the chassis by placing a strip of rubber between the engine arms and the frame?

Have a Bosch mag drive setup up for grabs.
Has a crack in the front plate where the fan belt wear always is. So the front plate is in on large piece, and the little thin tab section thats split. Im assuming it can be aluminum welded back? Front plate holds fine otherwise.

Some wear to the gears as seen, but all move fine when the mag drive end...

I need to paint a new aluminum head. Any suggestions appreciated.

The rubber bulb end is new, the flex tube and 90 degree end are original. Comes with a reed which is at the bulb end. Has the 90 degree end for 1915. Asking $85 plus postage.

I haven't found a reference explaining the different lengths of the bends, but I assume they're for different years.

Both rods have the later forged ends. References disagree about the year those began. Both rods are 54¼ long.

This Nonpaeil Black and Brass Horn has a Nickle bezel around the screen (note 2 small dents). Paint was removed and the underlying brass polished to show the brass. Could not find any dents or cracks in the horn other than the 2 small dents on the bezel. The reed is in the horn and its LOUD.

Yesterday I scored a set of counter weights at a price too good to pass up. So this is the first time I've actually given any thought to using them in a engine. Complete 1916 engine. Looks good, no cracks, no damage. Aluminum hogshead, smooth pedals, block has 1916 casting date, S/N 1081588. 3 dip narrow nose pan with good mounting ears, no cracks, no repairs. On the '27 the steering has been a bit quirky at times. Have always checked the obvious pieces of the front end, steering gear, king pins, spindle bearings, air pressure in tires, spring hangers. etc. etc.

But garage time today, jacked up the chassis, and pulled the wheels for tour inspections and grease, and noticed the spring stack would...

Today I picked up my engine after a transmission rebuild. As proof of life the rebuilder set it up on a Dyno and ran it for me, first with a Holley NH, then with my Holley G. I have a NH at home in a box that I've never gotten around to installing on the engine. Based upon the results, I think I will now :D

Sorry to keep hounding on certain subjects..... I bought this car the last week of March. I haven't driven it very far or at night. It has a 6volt Optima battery (I think). I have never charged said battery. The Ammeter never ever shows a charge. Never. It will show a discharge if, and only if I turn the lights on. I've had many other generator...

Ok so I am going to try and straighten my 4 dip pan where the ball socket mounts. The one that is now mounted is just too bent up to mess with, along with the socket being too worn. At some time the car was hit or damaged, pushing/bending it out of shape.
