The first photo 1914 touring car, at that angle, shows the forward portion inside of the headlamp buckets as having bright reflectors. This is a good indication that the headlamps have been electrified. The battery is probably under the seat, or could be in a box on the other side running board.

Great video but a lot of mistakes in it also. Are the Scatt cracks made for a T length? What head would you use on a T that the pistons
only come flush or a little more from the top of the block?

Old castings are hard to weld & it will be noticeable when done. If you have a lathe or a friend with one you might consider making a
long gland ring that will fit in past the end of the crack( trim it down on the bottom so to not restrict the flow of exhaust) Pack the
circumference of the inside of the manifold with refractory puttie...

I’d also like to add that the drums in the transmission were looking a little questionable and also has Scandinavia linings which is something I’d need to switch out cause I’d rather not...

If your replacement floorboards are to narrow and the pedal spacing is wrong. It sounds like you have a 26-27 and not a 23. 26-27 s have wider floorboards and they have a door on both sides.

thanks for posting the meet flyer ... you are correct in stating our need to support regional swapmeets ... the hobby needs this sort of activity both for the exposure that vendors and service suppliers get and the in person sharing of knowledge and experience that is available to buyers by simply asking ...i expect to attend this meet well...

In the pre-war section, are the spots large enough to set up display and park your truck. I won’t have a trailer but will have few things that are heavy and would like to display off the back of truck.

Todd, if you can ever find one, I would like to get dimensions off it so I can make patterns for the castings for these, if you are willing to assist with this project.

If you have access to someone with a TIG welding machine that can be repaired on the car. If you were close I would do it for you. I have a Miller Sychro-Wave SD welder. TIG welding does not produce any spatter, so no worries to surrounding area. That's not a difficult repair in the right hands.

This car appears to have sat in storage for a long period of time. Has ALL old gasoline been drained from the tank in the last month or two and replaced with fresh gasoline? Has the carburetor been drained or cleaned recently? What about the gas screen? Have you checked for dirt dauber nests in the carburetor and exhaust? The fact that the engine...

What a great car. Wish I had an extra $23.5K laying around. While the top boot may be repro, at least IT is CORRECT in that it has what I refer to as the infamous flaps on either side. So many repro's do not, I even paid the extra $125 to Classtique to have it put on my '13's top boot. Labor intensive I guess! But it looks great and is correct....

After reading all the responses and thinking back at what I had done, I went out to my shop and carefully unbolted the shifter and pulled it out slowly while trying to see where the fork was in relation to the collar groove. Sure enough! The fork was on the right side of the collar groove. No wonder I only had one gear. Works now...

Mark, see if a local machine shop can hone the lifter bores for you instead of reaming.

It has been my experiences that most chucking reamers need a minimum of about 2% of the diameter (-in this scenario about 8 thousandths) to keep the flutes loaded during the cutting process. Otherwise, you generally get chatter marks in the bore finish which...

If you go to the facebook site and click on the available links you can see more photo's of the Town Car as well as other Model T's.
There is obviously a keen Model T Ford group in Uruguay who have numerous Model T's they have collected, including some unusual local bodied T's. I'm surprised the existance of this group has not been more...

I agree everyone needs to be careful. I do not do any pay system besides Cash or Check.

Harvey, it is a good idea to re-torque the axle nut after driving the car a bit. I always leave the hubcap off after pulling a wheel to reminds me to do the re-torque.
