Right now you can get Rotella 15W40 online at WalMart for $15/gal. The 10W30 is twice that much. Don't know why. 15-40 works just fine.

Yes, you can get oilers for the springs and perches from the vendors. Read the notes regarding the number used. Can't hurt to order a few extra in case one gets damaged driving it in.

A stack of ring gear shims makes me nervous, any shim there does. .048 is way too far apart for my taste.
I want the gears to line up/mesh AND have a tight enough clearance to evenly fold a strip of paper.

This is the conundrum of using a 12 tooth pinion.

I have thought about narrowing the ledge on the rux bell & using a stock ford 40 tooth...

Yes the distributor fits in place of the timer.
There is a new extra cap also

The spool only needs 1 good side, the thrust side.(opposite the ring gear) Give it a quick hone. If you have a good side, you are good to go.
The bearing measures good.
Any of that little bit of wear will be taken up during the new ring & pinion mesh setup.

Spool std size is 2.375 & bearing is .562

Here's another part to look for. It's a rare find though. Hard to make it out in the photo, but the thumbnut has the AB American Bosch logo cast into it. Obviously not a necessity, but kinda cool if you can find one.

Here is what the original oiler looks like. As for the bottom bearing, there is no bushing, but there is a lube hole running to the bottom of the bearing. Make sure it's cleaned out.

I've never had my head gaskets stick so tight that the gasket was ruined. I used a heavy coat of Copper Coat on the gasket and follow the directions which says to let it DRY before installation. I used to just hang up the old ones on a nail but now will start to reuse them like I did before.

All advise given is good, but to me the Ford instructions of filling the hub and hub cap are rational. For the wheel hub, while not complete filled, I usually put several tongue depressor loads in the inner hub, and smear them around, as that cavity can hold moisture.

If you are going to order new tires and tubes, you should order them now in case it takes them a long time to get to you. Like a lot of Model T parts, I think tubes, flaps and tires are very hard to get now, so save your tires, tubes and flaps, make repairs to the tubes where needed and re-mount them on your rims when you are ready in case you are...

I'd think you'd want to bend the bars and anneal them. Bonding or clamping small, high strength magnets to the original Ford magnets might do the job. A number of modern magnet materials can survive 300 to 500 F.

Doubt you will find a better one at this price. 😀

The way I did my 26 Tudor windows was to attache the felt channel at the bottom and not connect the top. Then insert the glass into the channels and slide it down to the window regulator. Then pull up the felt channel and attach the top segment.

I agree with Steve, especially if the engine is out of the car and a complete rebuild of the magneto is needed or desired. You can also adjust the height of the magnets above the surface of the flywheel. You can also test and replace any broken magnets that way.
