Andy, the marks in my original 16 dash are just locating marks, there was never a speedometer installed in my car. Lots can be learned from original cars, I sure hope my car never gets restored!

Dean and I were walking into OCF on Sunday morning and a guy pulled up and said do you guys want a ride? He was in a roadster so I told Dean to go ahead and I’d walk in. The guy said pull out the seat on the side of the car so we both had a ride in in a 1923 Pilot automobile.

I found the drawing, that bolt was only used on the first 2500 cars. The bold head was brass plated and polished.

Bill, that bolt is not used on my 1910. My 10 uses the common stud and spring. I first saw those original Long bolts on a 1909 but I don’t remember the serial number. I think I have the drawing for the bolt, I’ll check and see if there is a revision date.

This is the 1909-10 403-B front cover used after car #2500. The 1911 cover has a stud and nut that is used to tension the fan.

Todd, this is a 1912 touring I bought at Hershey several years ago. The top had shrunk, but you can see the original top strap and original figure 8 loop on the windshield.

Ernie was a master craftsmen who started out making the 1909 Kingston 5 ball, then went on to make the 1910 Holley, 1912 Kingston and on to make the 1911 and 1912 Holley. Larry, I did some machine work for a friend who works for a Chinese company that does small run casting. I'll see if they do brass. Also you can check with Dennis Oley when we are at Bakersfield. He has small runs done is Oregon. Kim
