I stand corrected. Yes you can use staples or tacks on the bowdrill. I would buy the stainless staples and the galvanized or aluminum tacks. There will probably be a lady at the store that can show you how to sew the pads. It is quite easy. I cannot add anything more than what dan told you.

Tim's suggestion makes a lot of sense. Some people have had problems with the magnet sitting on the screen. I used the correct wrench alone and it did not work, so I added a plain pipe clamp. It is holding fine. You can add the extra piece of metal under the pipe clamp if you want even greater stability. Will not hurt a thing, and who is gonna look at it.

I believe this piece will also fit on a gooseneck. This is my
23 inch tire carrier which should be the same as the one
earlier in this post.

I put this on here to show you what Dave has for sale, and how
it connects to a carrier.

Rob

I think you need to spend some time at Milford HS and learn French. Then you could read
the entire article and report on it.

I almost never log in and just read the posts. If I want to reply I have to log in. If I go to another post and want to reply I have to login again. Even though I click on the 'remember me' box, the system only remembers me for that particular post. So I am always a guest and I am a member of MTFCA ...

Will you be starting with a Model K?

Have a great race, and hope that not one of the cars has any breakdowns.

Re: O.T. how did you get your sweetie to support your T addiction?

I bought a touring, trucked it home, and my 15 year old thought I had bought him a car. When my wife saw it the next day she did not talk to me for three days. I few years later when i bought the speedster, she did not talk to me for a week. She supports my cars now, and the wonderful Milwaukee Mode...

A woodworking store near me took my old spokes. They used them to make pens for veterans and soldiers. Each pen came with a note letting them know where the wood came from.

Re: triple gear pins, flywheel with no magnets, questions ..

If you are planning on an outside oil line make sure you do not get the one with the mag post assembly. Since I do not have a coil ring to keep the assembly in place, it loosened up and dropped into the transmission. Made a horrible racket and oil spit out everywhere. They do make a fitting for the ...

If that statement by Mr Ford is true, then we need to hold them to it. They can start making
more parts that are no longer available. Does that mean every Ford dealer needs to keep parts
on hand as well?

Has anyone ever researched this to determine if Henry was truly anti semitic or was he just against the Jewish bankers? I do not believe he cared for JP Morgan either. I know the paper was anti-jewish, but are there any writings attributing this feeling that come directly from Henry himself?

Youth suggestion- thanks to John Regan

A number of years ago my son learned to drive at a MTFCI Annual tour. I took him to the empty fairgrounds across the street and he learned the basics in about 20 minutes. Then he drove one leg of our tour for that day, about 25 miles. He received a Jimmy Walker award for this. John Regan came up wit...

I do not know how many of you are aware of the Jimmy Walker award. This is given to a young driver who drives one leg of a tour at the annual MTFCI tour. It is one way of getting kids interested in Model T's. Thank you John Regan for coming up with the award. Although it was my son that was with me,...

This is a long book. 361 pa...

If you want it to stay clear use a sealer and than spar urethane, not polyurethane. If you want it painted you use a primer and than exterior latex. Some automotive primers and paints will work on wood. Check with the auto paint store.

Why don't you just go out and buy a lower radiator hose heater? Ford still installs these on modern cars.

No worries about gas leakage and it keeps the engine warm enough to start it. Can be used with a blanket
as well.
