Looks like they may have adapted the back end of an A/B rear main to the rear main area of a T block. Al Usalanghi of Long Beach hill climb fame grafted the rear main seal area of an A block onto the rear main of a T block and put an A rear main cap on it to run it as a dry clutch. That's not a Ruckstell ring and pinion- those were a 13 tooth pinion running against a 40 tooth ring gear. What you have is a 3:1 ring and pinion manufactured for and sold by Mark Auto. They can be pretty stubborn at times. A Ford puller is best but. . .
Put pressure on it with your puller and heat the ROUND portion CAREFULLY and SLOWLY with a torch. Usually a very small amount of heat will allow the gear to pop loose, and from there its a steady pull to remove it.

FS- Rocky Mtn. Trans Cluster Gear Shaft-New

I made another batch of the lower cluster gear shafts for the Rocky Mountain 3 Speed drive line transmissions. These are hardened and ground chrome nickel steel with the pin end .010 oversize to fit the cases that are usually worn. I only have two of these and probably won't be making anymore so. . ...

Re: Cracked block -Things that you never expect to find...

The cracks going to the outside- just pin them. The crack to the cylinder wall- normal practice would be to pin it and then sleeve that cylinder, as I'm not real fond of a pin in the ring travel area, but given how much these get driven relatively speaking, pin the end of that crack as well (there i...

If it was mine- pull the windshield, headlights and radiator. Disconnect the drag link. Unbolt the firewall from the body and unbolt the firewall brackets and the lower steering bracket from the frame. Pull the firewall, coilbox and steering column as one unit. Unbolt the front radius rod, ball cap ...

Unless its in an early car and has a DB axle, it may be less expensive to simply replace the axle. Axles are pretty plentiful and usually cheap.

Re: Rear axle low howl

Dump that needle bearing! They need to run on a hard shaft, and drive shafts are way too soft. the only reason it has not destroyed the shaft surface is there is really no lateral load at that end of the drive shaft. Another case of a really poorly designed "improvement".

There are no "billet" flywheels. All model T flywheels are cast iron. Later production flywheels were machined on all surfaces from castings unlike earlier production that only had critical areas machined.

Re: Atwater Kent K2 distributor gears

You appear to have the correct gear. There is really no need for a locking feature if you think about it. The 9/16 nut on the end of the cam, when tightened is more than sufficient to keep the gear from moving. We make the replacement gear sets and often get a call that "you forgot the keyway" when ...

I strongly recommend that you do not do this to correct insufficient backlash in a set of timing gears. My gears are accurately cut to run on the standard Ford center distance of 3.937" with correct backlash. If you have an issue with too much or too little backlash, we normally have both undersize ...

what Scott said- press the gear toward the tapered end, remove the keepers, put axle in lathe and widen the keeper groove toward the gear end, replace keepers, press gear back against keepers, make thicker spacer . . . . . . done
