That's a really strong looking crankshaft in that engine!!! Imagine if they used one like that in Model T engines, maybe then we wouldn't have so many broken crankshafts now!

4.40 x 4.50 - 21 is your tire size & they are different than the 30 x 3 1/2. Sorry, I can't help on those. Your tire size is what was usually used on the '26 & '27 T's and also on the '28 & '29 Model A's. Keep trying, someone will have some you can used until you get new ones.

Re: Fun with frames

It's not often that we see a tutorial on riviting. This might make a really good you tube video showing how to install rivits on the front cross member as well as the rear cross member and side rails as you did in this post.
Thanks for showing us how you did it.

Jim Sr. Thank you for posting all this information on the Wells System. It would be interesting if anyone has one of these on a T and is in working condition.
Thanks again and Best wishes,

Campsite available at Wonderful Wisconsin Tour

One of our Tour Attendees for the Wonderful Wisconsin Tour in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, cannot use the campsite at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds. He can't get a refund and so he is willing to pass it on to someone else at a discount. The campsite for the whole week of the tour (June 19th through ...

Congratulations Rob! I know it's in good hands with you. I, too, am looking forward to seeing it at the OCF. Just think, B, N, & K. It wouldn't surprise me if you got all of the pre - T Fords someday. :)

Re: Parts that "FIT" vs the "Correct" part

A couple of thoughts in addition to my post just above. '14's were made for 14 or 15 months due to the late introduction of the '15's. It was also a transition model year in that Dodge, which supplied lots of T parts to Ford, decided to introduce their own car. This irritated Henry Ford to no end (y...

Re: Parts that "FIT" vs the "Correct" part

Hi Bryan, Your T and your post are very interesting. I think it would help if you posted your engine number and the date of manufacture. Look for body identification under the front seat where the driver sits. Also look at the top center of the heal panel under the front seat. A "B" there us for Bea...

Re: WTB Door lock cylinder

I have a '27 T Fordor Sedan that I bought in 1964. It had the original door lock in it but a non-Ford key. It worked but didn't operate smoothly. While on an MTFCA National tour in the 1970's I parked next to another T that had been bought from the original owner, and the guy was locking the door lo...

I've taught two guys how to drive T's in the last 1.5 years. The first guy is a mechanical engineer who can drive just about anything & he learned fast. The second is a young guy about 40 who is kind of a shade tree mechanic. I taught him in about 15 to 20 minutes, then let him drive it by himself d...
