Does your rebuilt carb. have a Grouse Jet in it? I had one once and it would stick open or closed. If it sticks closed, the carb. will get no gas and won't start. If it sticks open, gas runs out all over the place.

At swap meets I carry a newspaper bag like I had back in the '50's. They are strong and designed to carry quite a bit of weight. The best one I like has a padded shoulder area and it has a flap to cover the contents up if it rains. Not easy to find, but they are out there.

If you don't know or are not sure if your rear axle has had the babbitt thrust washers replaced with bronze ones, take the rear axle apart to make sure. You could lose your brakes if the babbitt ones fail. I know, it happened to me and lots of others.

Re: FS TON TRUCK REAR SPRING PERCH AND SHACKEL SET
Mark, I appreciate your comment that "even the nuts have Ford script". I can see it on the first picture on the right side faintly. Could you, please, post a better picture of the Ford Script nut? We NOS, original types would really appreciate it.
Thanks very much,
Keith

Re: 1927 Model T Two Door Sedan Price
I agree with the posts above but have 2 strong recommendations. Once you get it running and before driving it too much, since it has been sitting for 30 years, you will need new tires and probably tubes and rim liners. The old tires will be all but rotten and safety comes first. Next comes safety gl...

With our '27 Touring and friends with their '26 Touring, we've gone cruising through several subdivisions / neighborhoods in the foothills just east of Apache Junction, AZ, where we winter. We get lots of thumbs up and waves and have never had a negative response. It's fun for both them and us. Chee...

Hi Allan, That sounds like a real bummer as we know how much you like to wear your bibs. Any chance you could cut off a pair just above the knees and wear them like we wear shorts in warm weather? Just a thought.....

Re: Body blocks for a '27
Steve, The reason your body and hood don't line up properly might be because your frame is slightly bowed. This happens where the two arms are on the side of the flywheel area due to the concentration of weight at that point.

We just charged one yesterday afternoon on a friends '26 Touring and it was easy and the results really great! We used 36 volts from a golf cart battery. Just a quick zap or two does it.

Hi Larry, Yes, it is the Rip Van Winkle car. I forgot to mention that in my post above. I'm not at home so I can't look up which issue of The Vintage Ford that article was in, but I think it was still while Bruce was the Vintage Ford editor. That would make it before the early '90's I think. Cheers,...

Tim, Are you aware that an original '17 Touring with only 26 miles on the odometer was found about 30 years ago? It was found in WI and written up in The Vintage Ford magazine and also in Bruce MaCauly's book "The Model T Ford, The Car That Changed The World"? The articles on this all original car h...
