If it is just clogged tubes it is definitely worth rodding it but if it is an original radiator and the tubes are not making good contact with the fins rodding will not solve the problem. What was it registered as before or is this a first time registration for an assembled car? If it is a new registration I would call it a '12. Re: Battery Maintenance
I have had a small solar panel on the roof of my trailer for years to keep the battery for the winch charged. I may be jinxing myself but that battery is now over 5 years old. It's a simple trickle charge device with over charge protection.

If you use the brass shield make sure it is big enough to span the timer case. Some repro shields are too small and are not held in place by the timer adequately.

Re: Model T’s in New York
When I relocated to Florida I registered all my cars in Florida and had no trouble at all. Florida, and I assume Missouri also, has to honor the ownership evidence of a sister State. They just issued new titles for each car. You get Horseless Carriage plates in Florida for a one time fee and the pla...

Re: Model T’s in New York
If you are coming from a state that issues titles NY will untitle it as they only issue titles for 1972 and newer vehicles. I had no trouble registering a car that I bought on a transferable registration where the seller signed it over to me but I didn't register it in my name for over 10 years. Ups...

Re: I have to jack up the rear to start it
Make sure the low speed band is not too tight. I start all my cars with one wheel jacked up when cold as I have a bad back and that makes it much easier. Leave the hand brake lever in the neutral position when starting cold but, as mentioned above, leave the lever all the way forward when the car is...

Re: Ok, so how much breaking do I really need?
The lack of braking in reverse attributed to Rocky Mtn. Brakes can easily be overcome by setting the brakes up so the Ford brake band also engages with a harder application of the brake pedal. Rocky Mtn. Brakes are self actuating when going forward and do not require a lot of brake pedal pressure to...

I have done lots of in car magnet charges with great results. I have a bad back so I start on battery because it's easier but when I stalled at a light a while ago I jumped out, pulled up on the crank, and she started right up with a quarter pull. When I got back in the car I went to switch to mag a...

I often spend 10 minutes or more idling at a draw bridge down in Florida in 90+ degree temperatures with no overheating. I have both Bergs and Brass Works radiators. You have to be a contortionist to get in and out of the drivers seat in a Centerdoor. And when you finally get in you sit slightly offset from the steering wheel! Not very comfortable, even for an average sized driver.

The mounting bolts are wrong and should have square heads. Nothing goes on top of the mounting forks. The inside of the lamps should be painted black. While it's not clear, from the picture it looks like your burner tips are incorrect. They should have a ceramic "Y" at the top and be oriented front ...

If you can't find someone to transport it for you send it FedEx and insure it for $10,000. The cost of the insurance is a small price to pay for piece of mind. Covers give critters a place to hide. I have covers for all my cars but stopped using them because the critters feel too comfortable in the nice dark environment covers provide. I'd rather clean off dust than deal with rodent nests.

I mounted a small motorcycle prestolite bottle along the frame rail. It's not visible and while you have to get down and under to open it it's no harder to turn on than checking the oil. If you go that route you need to find a prestolite bottle with an offset valve and install it with with the valve...
