The engine in my 1922 Fordor (danish build body) is #15,068,275. It is supposed to originte from either a replacement engine or an industrial engine used for my car at some point.

When running on magneto, the position of the timer is not important for the precision of the ignition point as that is set by the position of the coils in the coilring. Re: Position of gas generator
If it is functional I would encourage you to line the bottom tank with Red Kote (fuel tank sealer) and let it dry until it doesn’t have an odor. That is probably a good advise, but as everytime we Europeans gets an advice to use "something" the challenge MAY be to find it over here OR buy it in the...

Re: Position of gas generator
Well I do have a dream of getting to the Benson Ford archives, but that is merely to research what happend in Copenhagen up to WWII. Thank you for the info - I have no idea if the running boards are the right ones, but the rest of the car is to the best of my ability and knowledge pretty original wi...

Re: New mirrors for acetylene lamps
Is it possible to 3-D print glass ??? That would be wonderful !! No, not to my knowledge, but it is all about supporting a thin layer of silver and that could be of either side of the mirror. It may originally be behind the glass, but in a 3D printed solution it could as well be on the front side. ...

If I have the latest title for a Model T of US origin, is there then any way I can trace back previous owners?

Re: I-Timer and ECCT with Advanced Features Software
I believe the old HCCT and Strobospark do as good a job as ECCT if you have 4 coils made by the same vendor on the same batch - as was the case back then. It is not today. You have 4 coils of unknown origin and age produced within a timespan of decades. Their dwell when all adjusted to the same ampe...

Position of gas generator
I am about to install my new (!) gas generator on the running board of my 1914 Touring. There are no holes in the running board so there have never been a generator after its restauration some maybe 20 years ago. So I need a meassure from the front edge of the running board to the body of the genera...

Ford production principles book
At some point, a book was produced, that described all the principles behind the assmeble line production and production in general of Ford cars.
I just can't remember the title, so can someone help me out?

Re: Metal firewalls
Steel firewalls for 1917 - 1923 was not something where people adapted a 1923 - 1925 steel firewall - it was a regular Ford sparepart! It COULD have been added later as the wooden firewalls broke down, but it's there in my original danish Ford Sparepart catalog of 1931 just 8 years after 1923. NO me...

Mike,
don't you shortcut the ground and all your isolation transformers anyway? The battery still have the negative terminal connected to ground.

Re: Generator regulator/cutout Question
It is not a regulator, but just a cut-out, that disconnects the generator from the battery when the charging reach 0 ampere. It is switched on, when the voltage from the generator surpass 6,3 Volts and once it connects, the charging amps will keep it connected. It look like a modern version, which a...

Back around 1980 +/- I converted a Volvo 66 to run dual fuel gasoline/LPG. It was just an adapter you mounted under the carburator where the gas went in (as I recal it). What I DO recall is, that there where no hot water attachment.
(Ihave it lying around still so I can take pictures if you like).

Re: So I guess my Model T made a trip to Texas without me!
A friend of mine have an old 1910 Maxwell brass car with the historic licenceplate A 77. One day he got a letter that A 77 was cought by a Automatic Traffic Control camera speeding. I think it was 80 km/h (50 mph) in a 50 km/h (35 mph) zone. Fortunately when you get the mail, a nice photo was accomp...
