Re: OT Canada has Arrived

It has been a sucky day for sure! Kid gave me his nasty cold/flu yesterday. He has been sick as a dog for 5 days, at one point he had 103 temp. I barely slept last night due to the hacking. Get up this morning and no hot water in the upstairs bathroom. The pipe froze and ruptured in two places. Had ...

Re: Too cold to drive?

Coldest I have driven my roadster was 17oF, no top, hence no side curtains. I just wore my carhartt jacket and a sweat jacket. Choppers, stocking cap, a face mask and sunglasses. I would guess it was a 20 mile drive. The bare skin on my face was cold but that was it.

Re: OLD PHOTO THREAD

Lots of great pictures, I really enjoyed them Jay! I added a few to my screensaver collection. I did find at the bottom of each thread there is a way to show the thread in ascending and descending order. I wish this button was on the header of each thread, maybe once the Admins have a chance to catc...

Re: FJ - Is this tire repairable ?

It looks repairable. I had a nail in one of my Travel Trailer tires last spring in a similar location. Tire shop removed the tire and installed an internal patch. I would be curious why they say it is not repairable? From everything I have ever heard, as long as it is not to close to the side wall, ...

Not all guests are passerbys. Depending on which device I am on, I show up as a guest. Only my work PC which has very strong security, remembers my login. Both my phone and tablet, I log on everytime I want to post something, hence I'm a guest.

Re: Magneto vs Battery

The magneto produces about three times the voltage while cruising. Then, once it goes through the coil, it get boosted even higher. My understanding the greater the voltage the hotter the spark. Also note the spark plug gap affects the spark too. A hot spark produces a quality ignition of gas. My T ...

Glad your at home! I have spent way to many nights in a hospital, and there is nothing more boring than a hospital.

Re: Ultrasonic vs Vibratory Cleaner

I do not have an ultrasonic cleaner (yet).

I have a rock tumbler, with some type of media for de-rusting parts. Both bought from HF. It works quite well, but it takes days and days to work. When the parts come out they are very dusty. I primarily use it for bolts and the like.

When will the 2019 forum link be put up on the MTFCA Forum Page?
It's there sometimes for me. By that, sometimes I see the link and sometimes I don't. I think, when I see it, I click all the way back to the main home screen.

Re: In Honolulu looking for Ts

Not very busy. We were there just before Christmas, it was shoulder to shoulder, no matter where you where at.

We ran across a car show in Maui. Otherwise. We did not see any old cars in Honolulu.

Have fun! :D
