Re: I-Timer and ECCT with Advanced Features Software

First we have several gentlemen who make really good coils. First, you need excellent coils at the beginning. Personnally I always used services of Ron Patterson the coilman and it was a top gun service and quality. I can't said that to other vendor because I never experienced it. As everybody know...

Re: fix a coil, buzz box

I checked the capacitors in the those boxes and found they have 0 OHMS and not .47K. Capacitors are rated in microfarads, (mfd), not ohms. Unless you have a meter that's meant to check capacitors, you have no way of testing them. Even if the MFD reading is correct, you're still not sure if the inte...

Re: Anti freeze

Anti-freeze does a better job of cooling and preventing corrosion than does water and soluble oil. Here I disagree respectfully with this statement because the specific heat of antifreeze (pure or mixed with water) is lower than that of pure water. ... Its role in an automobile is to absorb heat fr...

Re: who solders brass for repairs?

It's not that hard to do yourself really. I've done it before with success. Trouble is with those re-pop horn bulb brackets, they're so small and flimsy at the attachment point you can repair all you want and they still will break. I copied some other guys idea and got rid of the "post" and used a ...

Re: Phone Apps: Interesting test tools - tachometer, strobe light, rpm, speedometer, elevation, etc

I tried one of these strobe light tachometers once and was disappointed at the performance. Who is the developer of the app you are using? I could not find one with a screen like yours. I assume it is for I-Phone only with no Android version. They are by no means perfect, that's for sure. The one I...

Re: FS 1914 Model T speedster

Nice project. I would say is more 1915 than 1914 because, springs, running board brackets, Shackles, front axle, lights, hood and fire wall. But what's cool with speedster, that give you some room than other kind of T will not allow. You don't need to be a perfect match of parts year. With this T, w...
