Note the right front wheel is running on a lower board but the ring is on the top board. I think that actually removes some of the weight on the area where the man is laying. Also I can't tell from the picture, but it looks as if the back wheel is not on the teeter totter either?

I haven't had this problem with a T, but with Model A's it would crack between an exhaust valve and the cylinder. Halfway down is way too far retarded. Re: Are Model T drivers/owners safe?

My newest car does beep when I stray out of my lane unless the turn signal is on. But I have to steer it to move back into the lane. And one thing I do like is that the cruise control, when set to a certain speed will actually slow down when the car ahead slows down. But if the car in front slams on...

Re: Are Model T drivers/owners safe?

I'm not sure ANY vehicles or pedestrians or bicyclists are safer with those vehicles. We read or hear on the news almost daily about the self driving vehicles crashing. However even with drivers, they can be distracted and also cause accidents.

Re: Jumping back in after a long hiatus

Does it run the same on battery and on mag? If only mag, you might need to charge the magneto. It could also be a problem with the coils, however, they ran on tru fire. It could also be a problem with your timing. Each timer is a little different on where to set the rod for best timing. I would sugg...

Re: Fan knock

When picking up speed, the fan will pull the pulley forward, and when slowing down it will move backward. This will cause no trouble UNTIL it gets so loose the fan hits the radiatorl Then very expensive to fix. So leave the fan off until it is repaired. Another thing which causes noises if the pin t...

John must have never been in Oregon where almost every street is one way. If you turn right, or even pass the address you are looking for, you might not ever find it again! I find that many drivers consider us to be a nusance. Especially when a group is traveling together. Some like to get to our left when we are in a short slow moving lane to allow others to pass and then they slow down to take our picture causing us to have to stop at the end of the lane which then c...

I have seen a block on which the web over the third main had been cracked or broken and had been welded up. Re: WHY DO T CRANKS BREAK BEHIND #1 ROD?

One possible cause would be sag of the 4 th main at the rear of the transmission. caused by a bent crankcase. This will put pressure on the center main of the engine causing wear at the top pushing the crank up into the block. When you try to adjust the center main to keep it from knocking as you dr...

Re: Has Anyone Experienced This?

I can only think of two things which would cause this. something too tight or exhaust muffler outlet too close to axle. As stated above, could be thrust washer off the two pins. Also if the oil it too thick it could possibly cause this. 600W is OK in a standard rear axle, but you need 120 or 140 in ...

I think you will find the above instruction opposite what should be. With the clutch in neutral the levers should be pushing on the spring, however when in high gear, they should be a bit loose. The spring holds the clutch in high gear, so it is tight against the clutch disks. The clutch pedal or le...

What is the difference between a 27 Canadian body and a 27 U.S. body? Both have doors on both sides. And both have steering wheels on left side unless manufactured for sale in a country which drives on the opposite side of the road.

Use a 26-27 engine and transmission with the 4 dip pan. It also has the reinforcements under the back side of the pan and hogs head and the straps from the bolts in the center to the side of the frame.

Is his muffler stock? Some are more quiet than others. Also, how is your nut holding the pipe to the manifold? If it is loose, you will get noise from that area and if too loose, could even cause a fire in the floorboards or the firewall. How is the exhaust manifold gaskets sealing? All these things...

If you have a tank under the seat, I would suspect maybe the fuel is getting low. If it is a cowl tank, not so likely low fuel. Would the drive home be uphill? Then I would also suspect low fuel. Most likely cause would be low float level or something stuck in the needle seat float valve. Our modern...
