Annual Meeting in St. Louis
MTFCA's 57th Annual Meeting is now history. I was again reminded how enjoyable it is to get together with a bunch of Model T people and catch up on everyone's news, especially after the recent forced hiatus in our activities. It's always good to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. I took s...

Jerry's not asking about the tour itself, just getting across the border. That's hair-splitting. The reason for crossing the border is the tour and (presumably) everyone on the our will have a Model T. More important, posting on the main forum instead of on "Off Topic" probably ensures that more pe...

Leo, I bought my first 2CV in Paris in 1968. It was a 1960 and pretty basic. Re: Stan Howe RIP
Sad news indeed. At one point in the 1990s (I think), I read something that Stan had posted on this forum. I was editor of the St. Louis club's newsletter at that time and emailed Stan to ask for permission to use his quote. He replied that I could use anything he posted on the forum whenever I want...

Why would I want a picture of my mail before it goes in the box? I am lucky. My mail arrives before 11AM. I have had the service since they started it. I remember once there was a substitute on my route and Informed Delivery had indicated I was getting a check from a client that day. I didn't get i...

Tommy, your profile says you're in Missouri, but doesn't say where. There are clubs in St. Louis, Kansas City and Springfield (that I can think of offhand - I may be missing one or two). T people tend to be a pretty helpful bunch, so you might try mentioning where you are.

When I lived in Holland, I had an English Austin. Because it had been in Holland since just after WWII, the nuts on the car were a mishmash of metric and Whitworth. I had lots of different wrenches.... (although I suppose you could also say I had both wenches and spanners.)

I think nostalgia often drives the old car hobby. My dad had a 1955 Customline. I wouldn't mind a Fairlane from that year. On the other hand (nostalgia again) I also wouldn't mind a 1958 Volvo PV444 (my first car) or a 1956 Chrysler Windsor.

As a general rule using a minimal number of search words is best - adding MODEL T isn't a good idea because you get things that have keywords MODEL and other that have T (Tesla's Model T) One thing to keep in mind with Google is the use of quotation marks. Model T people have generally learned the important adage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." People who work in IT seem to follow a different philosophy. "If it ain't broke, then keep 'improving' it until it is."

Mark, as indicated in a post above, "-fit's" should probably also be included for the many people who think that an "s" doesn't really count unless it is preceded by an apostrophe. (Oop's, should have said "apo'strophe.")
