Sometimes it's nice to have a lazy day out in the shop without urgent projects. Today I rearranged the clutter a bit. lazy2.jpg The lighting on the Coupe reminded me of how bad the body panels were. I agree that there is no chain drive happening. The rear end is larger than Ford so probably from another kind of truck. I see the running board supports so I must be a stock frame with an extension.

The bus at right is a 1913 Autobus De Dion Bouton I believe. The other bus radiator doesn't have sharp corners like most Packards. I'm not convinced but can't say what else it might be. Here is another '13 NY bus:

I presume you are using a New Day or other brush type timer. Thus, no oil wanted.
With roller timers, I always wondered about the necessity of sealing out engine oil and then oiling it through the flip top oiler. That seemed to be an exercise in futility.

The damage may well have been inflicted by Skeezix Hoffellpuke. This shows devastation to the rear hub of his gyroscopede not more than a couple of days after.

What have you done to your Model T in July?
When I built the trunk rack for the '09, I wasn't ready to develop the hinged links for raising and lowering it. I got tired of changing separate links for Up and Down. This design has an offset in the upper link which provides for a better-looking arrangement when up. The different distances betwee...

Lange is a new one on me. I can't find much on the net except this, but it is listed in the "Trucking" book. Wikipedia lists it as Lange Motor Truck (1911–1931) A faint PENNA keystone appears on the license plate which agrees with the Carnegie, PA on the sideboard. Lange.jpg Always expanding our kno...

I can't see anything in the first photo that would pin down the date. They made several types of these but I haven't seen this one before. It is cast aluminum I believe.

Actually, there are two stories, Herb. One concerns the rumored Lock Nest Monster of Larkvonnet Bay. It appeared to a few during the 7th semianal Regatta, rising to the surface and chewing on several of the participating vessel's hulls. Those seeing it were criticized for too many hours at Ernie's t...

Thanks for the speculation. I am trying to decide if I need another project. It's in a car that doesn't attract me but might be worth it for the head and some of the parts. I need to go and see it. If not, I'll pass the information on in case someone else is interested.

I can't seem to find the make or model of this overhead setup. Most rockers are on shared shafts rather than separate standoffs.

The "09" is perfect for these trips. It shows how driving was then, but my later parts keep me from destroying parts that can't be replaced. It truly is the best of both worlds for us. So many folks showed interest.Rich

I had to jack the car to start it yesterday. The gravel sloped and the T slid sideways twice after starting and off the jack. About 40 degrees and it did start after a few cranks. We went into Old Faithful, about 57 miles. I got 22.3 mpg and hit 37 mph at one speed sign. The traffic was not bad, and...

Rumor was it helped build Hoover Dam.
