My observation would be the folks driving model T's would be wearing bib overalls and subtle clothes compared to the bankers driving Peirce Arrows.
The catalogs tend to show more detail in the fancier clothes than the bibs

I will keep a check on this thread. Sadly it seems We lost the reliable regulators from John Regan. ;)
I Still to this day wonder why the generator couldn't be converted internally somehow to make it a common 2 brush design so a regular off the shelf 6 or 12 volt regulator could be used.

I wish I could see that better. Every part of that spindle arm and cleaves that I am looking at appears to be worn to a unsafe level. If any of that is worn to a point the bolt was wiggling around,it would be easy to see how it would break.

I would not use gloss.
I got ahold of some paint made by PPG that is more of a satin black that was used for Freightliner chassis's when modified to match after welding, and it looks good. I will try to get a photo of the can

What little I saw of it,you can just about think about welding and the parts are together.
I would like to learn more about it. Warpage is the biggest threat with either mig or torch so it would be interesting to see how that works with the laser.

I have not used a new carb of that exact type from china but when I repair lawnmowers for folks, most of the time if there is carb issues, i just order a "Wang Fuee special" off ebay. I can't buy a float or needle and seat for what a whole carb cost. not to mention the hour in the ultrasonic cleaner...

All my water cooled engines in 1 place. They are getting to be to heavy to load and unload from a enclosed trailer for me so I did this over the past several months.Built the trailer during the winter and then built the carts over the past few months.

I remember on a tour I was with had all the T's in the parking lot of the state park,it rained over night, and 1 guys coil box got soaked. If I remember correctly we took turns holding it under the hand dryer in the mens bathroom trying to get it dried out enough to run.
