Re: New Member and Owner..Some Questions!

The accessory oil line on top of the trans is separate from everything else. Oil is basically thrown into the fitting on top of the trans and gravity feeds it down to the front of the engine. You can also install a screen above the transmission that the oil flows over and drains through. This helps ...

149 pounds for a tire
35 pounds for a tube

184 pounds total for merchandise ($246)

If you place an order they will e-mail you a total for merchandise and shipping.
You can then tell them if you approve of the order.

That may all change considering current events.

Rainer,

I hope you have a copy of the Ford Service manual. If you have a German copy I do not know if it is the same. You would want to go to page 164, paragraph 678 and see how a front axle is put together. Hopefully your spindles are correct and you just need new bushings and a new king pin.

That rim is heated and shrunk onto the felloe. Then kept in place with 2 rivits. No glue is going to hold it. Like Steve says, it needs to be sent to a wheelwright to be rebuilt. Your safety and that of your passengers is too important. $300 will be a lot cheaper than a hospital bill.

Send Mike an e-mail with your phone number and he will call you. He does work a full time job as an engineer, has kids, and it is Xmas so give him time to call. The website may be incorrect.

Re: Whats rhe best way to set up your dizzy after repair?

Stock engine, 6V, Bosch distributor on an Atwater Kent housing, manual advance, and standard coil. I numbered the cap so I do not make a mistake hooking up the plugs. If I am really lucky I will just have to hook up the spark lever to the dizzy and it will be oriented correctly. When running you jus...

Whats rhe best way to set up your dizzy after repair?

Took the engine apart to inspect and repair some parts. Was looking at the distributor and wondering what I have to do to get the gears lined up correctly. The cap is marked 1,2,3 and 4, so that part is done. I know I need to set it on TDC. Then what?

USPS issue

I mailed a check from WI to CA, certified mail and return receipt. I had a reason for doing that. I received a phone call from the receiver after a neighbor 2 miles away was kind enough to take it out of her mailbox and drive it to his house. The postal person, because of COVID, did not want to get ...

1920 model t.jpg I bought this car because it looked better than the other one. First tour the engine seized. Basically paid for the car twice after the engine was rebuilt. Looks are not everything. I like the looks of the TT, but do you want a truck that goes slow. Maybe you like trucks. Don't wor...

I have a friend in Denmark who has a Strobospark. He may also have an ECCT., and he is able to respond on this forum. I do not know who else in Europe has the equipment to test your coils. Perhaps the gentleman in France or someone in the UK.

Rainer

Looks like you did a great job. I hope it continues to work for you once you are able to take it out on a real trial run. Could we also get a picture of your dashboard? How did you run the wiring from the rear to the dashboard? Along the frame? Vielen Dank.

Re: Buttons on upholstery

I would try a silicon spatula. Cut a grove in it to slide under the button. You need to clean off the mineral oil before you take a Dremel to the button. Recommend you use leather conditioner instead of mineral oil.

Re: Can I safely open/close this bolts without wheel removal?

Since you are in Austria and have a number of tools already or can hopefully do what you have to with tools you already have on hand, I would suggest these three: 2509SP - sleeve puller 3820-447 -bushing driver 3061W - exhaust pipe wrench Others will agree or disagree with me. Thats fine. I have two...

Re: Can I safely open/close this bolts without wheel removal?

Rainer, my buddy Steve beat me to this. He is correct. The wheel puller is only for the rear wheels. Since you are working on the rear wheels it would be a good time to take them off and check all the parts. The #2510 is just a pressed wheel cap. I always destroy them when I remove them. I have swit...

I have soaked mine in oil which seems to work. I have also soaked it in leftover soap from a soap dish and that works, too. The felt by itself does not work so well.
