Re: Oily Rusty Paste in Cooling System

I flushed my cooling system with the garden hose. Then I refilled it with RUST 911. I drove the car with the RUST 911 in it without any noticeable change in temperature. I left it in for 24 hours. When I dumped it I was amazed at the amount of black thick water that drained out. I repeated the proce...

Re: Hub caps

I am not looking for cherry hub caps. My car is very used and abused. To match my car they should be rusty and probably a few dings as long as they are not split. I was trying to learn which were used in late 1921 production, brass or steel? Would I be correct in assuming that all four would have th...

Hub caps

My 1921 came to me without any hubcaps. During shopping on eBay I see differences in hub caps. Which design is correct for a 1921 with Non Demountable wheels?

Re: Motorcycle Oil

Oil for motorcycles, being air cooled, is a completely different formula designed to work in higher heat. As for "Synthetic" oil I was at a seminar talking about the differences in oils. The speaker told the audience that "Synthetic" lubricates better. His example was "If your car now leaks one drop...

Chris, that would be great, let me know when you're going to do that! Your car is a bare bones 21 right?, soooo, that would mean it wouldn't have the starter/Bendix housing addition to the Hogs Head. :D
The Hogs Head is off and laying in the driveway.

Re: Where can you find new Model T parts?

The closest to you would be Chaffin's Garage in Corona, CA. Not only do they sell parts they are also a manufacturer. Dave is the counterman. Call and tell him what you need and it will be on the next UPS truck to leave. Probably the best catalog of any of the vendors. http://chaffinsgarage.com/

Some say there was a Model C and some folks says that it's a myth. Call it what you want. http://www.fordgarage.com/pages/modelcmyth.htm
Although there was no Model "C" the first "B" cranks were not counterbalanced. So calling the counterbalanced "B" crank a "C" is just sort of a slang term.

Re: Model A Crank in a T Block - Request Info

Joe The tag says “C” crank. And I agree with the tag. You will see that I have posted the identical crank and install on another thread. I acquired a very rusty C crank and it cleaned up nicely to standard A size. And considering that 1-5/8” main bearings is all that the T bolt spacing will handle!...

The valve stems seem to be a simple item to make. I know that repops are available for antique motorcycles. These are dummys that screw onto the threaded metal valve stems on modern tubes. This shouldn't be too difficult for someone with a lathe.
