Re: Take a Look at My Switch and Dash Light

Hello Bruce, I'll give this a shot. The back of your switch looks good. It is a "pin back" and is more desirable than the "bend tab back" as yours is easier to take apart, clean, or repair. Your ammeter looks to have a burned wire between the ammeter and switch. I can't tell if it's a big problem or...

Re: Analogue meter that indicates which coils are firing

The Ford Fix diagram fails to show how/where the meter is connected. Also, there is no mention of the type of meter being used. More information is required. If you have to connect the meter for EACH coil, I agree with Andy, it would be quicker, less expensive, and more simple to use a screw driver ...

Re: What day was my frame built?

I will take a stab at this one based on what I have learned. It appears your car has a replacement engine. The reason I say this is the original engine number was the number stamped into the frame when the car was built. Thus, both numbers were the same. If you have a different number on the engine ...

John K. has a perfect answer: Thread File. Make sure you purchase one with the correct thread count. Then start with the good thread area and work through the bad threads. The one bad thing about thread files is they only work on Outside Threads and not on inside threads. Been There, Done That.

Re: What? "If the oil leak occurs around the front wall, it will be necessary to solder the wall"

Bruce, Look up some photos of the oil pan. The pan is not sealed completely around it's perimeter. There is a dam/wall in the nose section that stops the oil but allows the pan to go on to support the crank. You can look down and under the crank/fan belt pulley and see the front of the pan where you...

Re: Holley NH carburetor leaks when cranking engine

Hello Bruce, Under normal conditions, you may get some leakage from choking while cranking. My first thoughts are the float level is too high causing the leakage. You may have a float that is sticking keeping the needle valve open. Another possibility is the needle valve may be fouled, sticking, or ...

I am having difficulty finding out what shape gas tank was used in a 1920 C-Cab TT. I've looked in Cimorelli, past forum posts, and anywhere else I can think of. No luck. I believe the C-Cab trucks used oval gas tanks under the seat. But, I have a 1920 wood cab that has a round tank. The question: I...

I have a "trick" that has worked very well for me. First, I am very careful to make sure I keep the original cap and do not damage it.
