Re: 15% ethanol and T’s

-Jeff- If the ethanol is a concern for you, there are past threads which can explain how to separate the ethanol out from the 'real' gasoline. I have articles and studies to share if you need them. Personal experience is that NO ethanol works best for the longer term. My small engines on up have con...

Re: Installing new wiring harness

-Larry, Mark, Steve- Years ago, I had gotten a complete new harness from good old J.C. Whitney. Color coding then matched exactly to the wires when stripping back the old harness, which was highly likely 'original' with Ford printing, A couple of years ago, I trailered the TT to a client's body shop...

You'll want to identify 'what' you have. Measure your wheelbase for a start, also, the depth of the c-channel frame rails at the middle of the chassis are (thinking here) about 5" deep/tall, while the car and small truck rails are about 3" tall. You will quickly identify what you have.

Re: Forum crashes - we know how to fix it!!!

Just thinking ahead, Jeff..... Dave's thought about all those large-sized pictures consume a lot of memory. Toss in the 'old Forums' for history's sake, and it fills quickly. Unless there are Tera-Bytes of storage available, picture size limits (1 MB?) could make sense. Don't most phones provide tha...

Re: Forum speed????

Nice reply, Jeff. I was helping another MTFCA 'T' friend this afternoon to get his profile Avatar. One part of our conversation was about 'logging OUT'! To put it in layman's terms, when we log in, think of it as to be wearing a full-length set of 'Long Johns'.... That 'back flap' opens to do what w...

Re: Forum speed????

-Stan- This may be a dumb and irrelevant question.... "How old is your computer?" Then, it's storage capacity? ("RAM" is Random Access Memory) Computers will absorb (remember) a lot of information. 'Fragmented Files' (or 'parts of parts' being stored in many different places) will cumulatively slow ...

Re: Forum Security Concern

Thanks, Chris!
I've now deleted the previous link for the new site, replacing that 'bookmark' with the new link. Works fine with the "https" connection, and the "Not Secure" notification doesn't appear. Appreciating all your attention to the details.

Re: Forum Security Concern

-Dom- Most T guys are straight-forward & honest. Like others, I also like my privacy..... NO SOCIAL MEDIA, EVER for me! But Google and Facebook probably already know more about me than I'd want them to!!! Still, be careful about providing information you'd prefer to not be generally known, like your...

-Hey, Chris!-
Once again, our 'hats off' to you, as well as many well-deserved Thank You's! I'm sure we will all feel better knowing those prior bits of knowledge will still be available.

To find the 'old' MTFCA site (Back thru 2005)

The old site is still accessible, and will hopefully remain. There is much shared knowledge and information about our T's that is available. (I know I often have referenced back and saved the posts....) We're obviously 'on' the new site, but this only includes access back through 2018. If you're sea...

Re: Many thanks to Chris for all his Work!

May I also toss some 'Kudos to Chris' as well? Seemingly unrelenting catering to those among us who are technology-challenged, is greatly appreciated! :? We're learning out here, and will muddle through this together. Thanks, too, for those member participants with their helpful suggestions. It genu...

Re: Link to MTFCA web site?

We'll 'muddle through' and learn together.....! The old and new sites have different URL links, and I understand that, even had both 'up' at the same time. Hopefully the 'old' site will continue to exist, as it includes Forum discussions back through 2005. (Old) http://mtfca.com/discus/index.html (N...

Re: Topic Icons

We're 'muddling through this' together, learning the nuances of the new. We shall survive! I just added a post to the "I am confused" thread in the 2018 Forum which might help with understanding differences.

Re: edit USER NAME? Can it be done?

I emailed Chris and he changed the U/N so those familiar might recognize me, the computer dummy I am... The helpful 'location' of the user is missed. Don't know if there is any way to have that up front. We will muddle through together, just exercise some patience to learn. "Happy T-ing! Just fix it...

Referencing past Forums

When using the old MTFCA link, (now 'bookmarked' and kept), am finding the previous Forum years going back to 2005 to be accessible. The same link allows the 2019 connection, but then only ID's back to 2018. Since saving many past threads/titles to reference for the expertise and knowledge of others...
