Where to purchase some? 26/27 open car dash panel screws. Don’t see them on the vendors sites. These need to be correct as they are in your face all the time. Cannot have tacky modern fasteners there.

Even with the dashboard and fuel tank out it’s a bear. I am glad I started to tackle this before I mounted the fuel tank and dash. I never gave it a thought, usually I’m the one doing things 3 or 4 times to get it done.

Radiator shell turned out pretty nice. Cowl lacing looks self explanatory except for the 2 at the bottom. Bottom looks easy as the back is easy to get to so the rivet can be split. I have the wood tack strips for the 26/27 roadster. The vendors sell a plastic tack strip that is flexible and would be one piece and waterproof. What is the wise words from you all on this subject. I am building a beater truck and not a show/points car

I like Snyder’s and Lang’s. Me, being in Ohio, will pay sales tax and shipping with Snyder’s. But it shows up next day. I try to spread the wealth between all. I’m about tapped out on these builds though, gotta throttle back.

You cannot use the stock ac setup with a aux tranny as the tranny is in the way of the cables can you? I haven’t dug into mine yet to mock-up but only looked at you all’s pictures.

I agree somewhat with you all. Tell me what all I need if I want to use metal stem balloon tubes? There are 3 pieces needed? Sheet metal piece, and 2 nuts?

I have 4 old rusty rims for normal driving and 4 restored red rims for Sunday. I might try the metal stems on the Sunday rims.

I have 5 tubes from Snyder's that are in plastic and not marked as country of origin or manufacturer. The base of the valve stem measures 5/8". The valve stems seem to be a little large in diameter around the base of the stem. Will not seat all the way in a 21 inch wire rim. Then its a bear to try and get it back out.

I am wondering whether your meter may be misleading you somewhat. The voltage it applies and the current flowing will be very small.
